  It's a 2500mAh AA inside a spacer. Not a real C capacity battery.

  You did remind me I need rechargeable C batteries, and now I know you can get adapters (cheers). What's an AA to C adapter worth? $6 with 2 good quality NiMh AA and 2 adapters is decent enough.
