  Cut as few in half for light soiled loads. I actually think it produces a better result (especially when plastic containers etc are involved).

    Rinse aid is a surfactant which helps the dishes dry faster. I'd say any surfactant works fine, the Aldi ones is $2.5 or so for 500ml

        Not necessarily but you don't have to wait too long for it to dry. Any rinse aid will do

    i thought rinse aid was to soften the water to stop water marks. i run on rain water and dont use any.

    also i thought the red ball in the middle was rinse aid too…. is it not?
