This is a pretty good Star deal with two great platformer games. Great graphics, fabulous soundtrack, and enjoyable gameplay - it will bring memories if you have played Giana Sisters on the C64, Amiga etc.
I think you will get ONE key for the two games.

You will get the following games:

  • Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams
  • Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams - Rise of the Owlverlord

From the website:

Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams
Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams is a blistering hardcore platformer with contrasting worlds. Warp Giana’s vivid dreams to alter your abilities and destroy the twisted creatures lurking within. Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams combines the challenge of retro era platforming with graphics that pack a visual punch and tight controls.

Fluidly morph between two dynamically different dream worlds to solve puzzles and combat grueling enemies. Players will have to intertwine sweet Giana's twirling jump attack with Punk Giana's hammering dash attack to survive the dualling dimensions.

Now featuring a brand new competitive multiplayer arena racing mode!

The game sets up to 4 players against each other in local PvP, speed-running in an effort to push each other off the screen with the help of boosters and power-ups.

Smash through all obstacles! Run, dash, jump, head bonk, fire cannonballs and barrages of bullets onto your opponents. Switch the level layout on the fly as you rush through dreamgates. Collect gems to fill your speed booster and use your power-ups to knock out the other players.

Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams - Rise of the Owlverlord
Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams - Rise of the Owlverlord is a blistering platformer with morphing worlds, featuring seven brand new levels, a new boss and new gripping tracks from Chris Hülsbeck and Machinae Supremacy!

Dash through tricky levels and transform the whole world at will in this fast-paced platformer. Rise of the Owlverlord combines graphics that pack a visual punch and tight controls with the challenge of retro era platforming. Fluidly morph between two dynamically different dream worlds to solve puzzles and combat grueling enemies and bosses. You’ll have to intertwine perky Giana's twirling jump with punky Giana's hammering dash attack to survive her dual nightmare.

PLUS - as part of your order, you will be sent a 10% discount coupon to use on your next bundle from Fanatical.

Enjoy!

  • Goodness, I remember the old C64/Atari ST/Amiga versions that were banned!

    • Banned? Why?

      • Nintendo copyright infringement

        • Strange. Must have only been in Australia - I remember in many European countries it was not banned but was freely available.

To be fair the original game was just Super Mario with slightly different aesthetics for computers :)

          • @SirFlibbled: Certainly in the UK it was taken off shelves. The ZX Spectrum got reviewed in a few magazines but was stopped before most copies hit shelves. Similar thing with Katakis and R-Type, though that did eventually get reworked into Denaris (and if I recall, the team ended up doing the C64 port of R-type)

          • @SirFlibbled: Pretty much. Those sexy lady pixels LOL.

I cranked up my old C64 just a few weeks ago. Couldn't believe game data still reading off the old 5.25 floppies.

Glad to hear that - it gives me hope that mine might be OK in 20 years when I get around to it.

  • Great games.

  • I did play the original on C64 (C128) back in the day in Australia
it was pretty much a 1:1 mario ripoff, however as i didn't have access to a nintendo at the time it was excellent
Didn't hear about any ban, however at that time the internet wasn't really at thing and it wasn't covered by the gaming press i had access to
The new version is pretty good and worth a play if you like platformers
