@ $94 each or total for 2 plans. If it's the latter then I might come in to HN later today.

  • does this apply to sim-only 12 month plans?

    • No only handset plans as far as i can tell

Thanks op. I'm going to need a new plan for my new razer 2.

  • Cheers OP. Our 2 kids plans end this month so perfect timing.

Just curious if you sign up for 2 plans at once as new services are you eligible for two gift cards or just the one?

    • +1

Yes you are eligible for two gift cards. Dont know how to grab 20% off second service. My HN representative never mentioned it. I will have them called today and ask for the discount.Does anyone have screenshot of offer. Thanks

      • Thanks for the reply. I’ll head in this morning and ask about the 20% of also, I’ve seen it mentioned on OzB a few times but never seen it advertised.

        • Keep me posted plz so i know what to say to hn rep

          • @Cmaz: Just got done setting up 2 new services and the HN rep told me that the 20% off a 2nd service is not a current promo.

No idea if that’s a HN or Optus thing though but would be interested to know if anyone can manage out with the EFTPOS promo.

            • @MaximumEffort777: I called a random HN and asked they confirmed its on. Now trying to get hold of thr staff who signed me.

              • @Cmaz: Haha….let me know how you go :)

                • @MaximumEffort777: Asked to wait till tuesday as he had to process with optus but he did accept the discount.

                  • @Cmaz: So is this discount processed by Harvey Norman or do they contact Optus to have the discount applied?

                    • @MaximumEffort777: It is processed my HN but since he has to fix my contract with optus he said to wait couple of days

                      • @Cmaz: Sweet, thanks. I'll give HN another call in a couple of days and also try the Optus via chat and see what they say.

S10 PLUS on optus is now $84. I assume this is to deter you from this deal as optus is cheaper over the length of the contract. Unless harvey norman can also set you up on this plan as well. However, if your planning to "trade up" after 12 moths HN deal still works out to be better :)

    • $84 is lease, $94 is own. Definitely worth the $10/month to own it and resell if necessary. The S10+ will be worth more than $240 after 24 months.

    • +1

All HN does is sign you up to existing optus plan they dont have any special optus plans.

    • Sorry guys it was late…. silly me will defs neg my own comment

  • Do you know when will this expire?

    • Sorry no idea neither the representative had any…..

My wife said she heard on the radio it was June 23rd which it looks like someone has updated this deal to reflect already.

    • Extended to 30/06

  • Be prepared to wait around in store if your porting while they try and get through to Optus. There is a special number they have to call Optus on and wait times can be an hour.

    • True. it took mine around 2 hour

    • Yep, it's a total farce. They can't be bothered doing it on their screens as it takes longer apparently. So they call Optus. It takes about an 60-90 mins this way still.

  • I don't see how you'll get a 20% discount so it should be taken out of the OP

    • Called my local HN as I'm contemplating porting over a second service, can confirm 20% off the plan pricing for the second service

      • I’d certainly be interested to see if anyone can actually get the 20% discount applied outside of just being told it’s a thing. The HN rep told me it wasn’t a currently run promo, even after asking the Optus rep on the phone during sign-up.

We have 4 services totaling almost $400 and they wouldn’t budge on the discount at all.

        • 20% off is a below the line offer for Optus in general. If you add 2 services at once the 2nd service gets 20% off the rateplan (excludes handset repayments). Any good HN store would be aware of this.

          • @farque: So this is processed by Optus or HN? I added the 2 new services at the exact same time.

            • @MaximumEffort777: HN apply it within the sales process.

Depending on the plan as there are some exclusions (59 promo and 69 promo), the 2nd of your 2 services would have 20% off the rateplan.

              • @farque: Alrighty, thanks for that. It was two of the $69 promo plans (+$15 handset repayment) so I'm guessing that's why it didn't apply, would have been good had the employee told me that.

  • Is amex offer useful in any way?

  • Hey does anyone have anyidea how to i untick the association with the store. I ticked it by mistake during replying now its not letting me to undo it

  • Can anyone who has done their research give me some pointers on the cheapest “flagship” phone. It is for my sister who can be stubborn and obviously only wants the “best”. So any new iPhone or s10 deals. Any response is greatly appreciated :)

  • I have signed up 79$ plan recently (3 weeks ago). Just wondering It is possible to get 20% off if i sign up another plan with this new offer? I have signed up directly from Optus not from HN though :(
Should we sign up the 2 x plans at the same time to get this 20% off second service offer?

    • Edit: HN rep advised that we can still get 10%off if we signed up an existing plan within a months time :)

      • Looks like I'm heading back to HN on Wednesday to follow-up in that case. Maybe I can get a different answer from a different employee.

  • Have been looking for a phone plan for a while so this is nice and convenient!
I'm thinking of getting an iPhone XS 64gb on the $125 plan. Currently the Optus website lists a 15% access fee discount bringing the cost the $113.25/month
Just wondering if anyone knows if the following can be combined if I sign up for the above plan in a HN store?
    1) This HN gift voucher
    2) The 15% discount for htte $125 'My Plan'
    3) BEATS SOLO 3 WIRELESS ON-EAR HEADSET as listed on the website for redemption

For reference on the website this is the T/C for the 15% discount:
$15% OFF PLAN FEES $125 MY PLAN PLUS & $125 MY PLAN FLEX:
Consumer and SMB (excludes TechFund & Fleet) customers who sign up or recontact during the offer period. Discount will apply for 24 months unless you change, recontract or cancel your service. After 24 months we may remove the discount without notice. Not available with other discount offers. Ends 30 June 2019.

    Cheers

  • I was in Harvey Norman yesterday and they were giving a voucher with this deal.

  • Contacted HN again this morning about the 20% off a second service and they're still adamant it's not a current promo so as soon as someone actually has it confirmed and processed can you please post back here with the store details etc. so that I can go back…..again!

    • Has to be on the Same day you add the first service. OR same day you recontract(upgrade to new plan/handset) an existing service.

  • is there still the 10% port in offer through HN?
