Indeed. My own opinion is that it's "ok", but for posts I generally take the metacritic value as the common opinion. Don't hold it against me…
It has 85% on Gamerankings so I'd say it's a very good game. Personally GOTY for 2010 for me.

I bought this first week, collectors edition, paid $129 and was very disappointed. I think a lot was due to the wait for the game (this and GT5 were 2 reasons for me getting a PS3), but I also think if I'd only paid $19 for it then I could have definitely looked at it a little differently.Not too sure what is happening with the continuing the XIII game line and even if they are doing it still, but not having a tut that lasts 20+ hours will work in their favour.
It's a reasonably good game at $19…i think most people would agree….

Square should have kept Secret of Mana going instead of the FF games.
they should've let the user explore the map more, it's kinda linear till ch 13 or something

Though they did keep the IP for the "of Mana" games alive, most of the rehashes are absolute fail, R.I.P seiken densetsu!
Oh yeah, if you like FF games but was disappointed with FFXIII, make sure to check out Lost Odyssey. It's essentially a FF game in spirit.
