Special Deal on High Quality Hip Flasks! from $5.5 to $6.95 (+ $5.95 Postage, Can Be Combined)

580

Hi guys

I'm trying to start a drinking gift retail / wholesale business, my abn is 76806553357.

It is very hard to get started, that's why I'm doing this special sale.

I have various 7oz hip flasks, black or purple, plain or with logo, all in bottom price.

Why spending $25 bucks at gift shop for the same item you can get from here for $11.45($5.5+$5.95)?

I mean, $5.5 is even lower than most local wholesale prices.

$5.95 postage is for the pre-paid satchel, I really wish to offer you guys a lower rate, but that's how much post office charges me.

There are also birthday and wedding flasks available, plus 6pcs deals on plain ones.

I know those similar items from overseas are even cheaper, but… isn't that risky?

If you are interested, please visit my store now:

And tell your friends about this great deal too! :)

Thank you!

Sincerely

Joe

    Hi Joe

You need to be very careful there not to breach the Duplicate listing policy. A breach will really muck up your plans!

    http://pages2.ebay.com.au/News/InsideSelling/Duplicate_Listiā€¦

Just end the all the duplicates before the ebay robots catch them, there's no need for duplicates anyway

    • +2

nice of you to point his out but its arbitrarily enforced crap like most ebay policies - as an example look for "macbook pro battery" on ebay - flooded with 50-100 duplicate listings from the same china/tw/hk sellers, and there are bajillion more items like that which have been that way for a very long time, so ebay cant say oh we havent had a chance to review them yet.

anyway, might be an idea to fix it up joe lest you want to risk having your listings pulled at some stage. best of luck with your new business venture mate. intro prices seems very reasonable!

        wow…great tips guys

I'll change it right now! Thank you greatly!

      • +2

The fact that OTHERS do it doesn't help defend you, when your own (brand new) business gets destroyed due to policy violations! It only takes 2 or 3 policy violations and your Compliance rating is shot, after which your ranking in Best Match searches is lowered considerably.

The only way to solve the Asian spammers is to report them… eBay does remove them eventually, but of course it takes a while because there are SOOooooo many of them (and they are sneaky in the way they bypass policies - eg: by changing 1 character in the title so the bots don't detect the dupes)

Good luck with your business, good product + service and you will go far ;)

  • Hey Joe, great sale. Just wondering what the normal price of these hip flasks will be? Cheers mate.

    • Thank you ~ the normal price is $12 for plain and $15 for those with logo

  • $5.50 seems cheap, but what's the quality like? Any warranty provided? I saw a negative feedback on your profile in regards to one of the flasks leaking.

    • +1

The quality is fine, I actually check every one of them before sending.

That neg feedback must has been a while ago, when I was selling items for my ex boss. (those were some expensive crap by the way…)

If you do receive a faulty one, I'll send you full refund or replacement, as stated in each listing.

      Thank you~ :)

what are some good drinks that would go in such a flask?

    • -1

Errr, kidding right? Are you old enough to drink? :-/

      • besides whiskey and vodka, i don't know what else would possibly be good inside it.

        • +1

any liquor that has >20% alcohol, otherwise it would rust in the inside.

    • Coca-cola :)

Good luck with your business Joe!

Anyone other than the OP give an unbiased opinion on any dangers to our health from one of these cheapies?
Just making sure that we don't get some sort of poisoning or something. (I'm always cautious of cheap things that aren't well known or branded (big name brand) that hold my food)

    • Doesn't alcohol neutralise all the nasties anyway?

      • Doesn't stop you from having contaminents from the metal leak into your drink then into your system.
It'll only kill bacteria, and even then not all bacteria. (Also depends on the alcohol you're using, would need to be at least 40% to have any effect, ie scotch, vodka, the heavy stuff)

(I'm always cautious of cheap things that aren't well known or branded (big name brand) that hold my food

Just because something is a brand name does not automatically make it safe. Plenty of big brand name products have been recalled over time due to safety and health issues.

      • Fair enough
But you have to admit they're less likely to do the dodge than compared to something cheap out of China that doesn't have a huge name to protect (I know both would come out of cheap China anyway)

Bought one :) where are these made in btw?

    • +2

Well like most of these items, made in china.

9 out 10 of everything is made in china nowadays.

      • +1

Thanks for being honest mate, I sure hope the quality of it will be good, despite its origins :)

  • Is the part connecting the flask to the lid plastic or steel? I have purchased other flasks from ebay before and found the part which is connected to the screw cap to be plastic and flimsy.

    • +1

      it's all stainless steel~ I assure you.

      • Question to the rep, should there be any precautions when using these flasks?
for e.g. don't store liquor in it for extended periods of time or as someone said, only put 20% alcohol content drinks in to stop it rusting or other little things like that?

        • They are made from stainless steel and stainless steel does not rust so you can keep water in them and they will be fine.

        • Actually it depends on the mixture ratio of the contents in the stainless steel. If it's a poor mixture it can still rust!
Just remember just because it's stainless steel, it doesnt mean it won't rust!

But then to be classified as stainless steel it requires at least 11.5% chromium in it. (Again with anything out of China, be weary of the claims)

  • Can't believe I haven't +'ve this yet….
    Well now I have :) (Y)

  • Got my flask today.
The cap.. a bit of it seems to be orange-brown in colour (colour of copper), the cap might not be stainless steel, more like copper coated.
Also the cap grooves on the flask itself, there's machining oil and it really is difficult to get it all out D:
Use a small flashlight and look inside, guys do not use this straight away, clean it out, there's little specs of dirt from the manufacturing process in the flask. Wash thoroughly!

    • If anyone's interested, Joey has sent me out a new replacement flask, very nice quality, thanks for the great customer service!
