As the Hotel Windsor in Melbourne prepares to launch seven months of celebratory offers to commemorate its 125th anniversary, the Hotel has released 125 rooms between 21 May and 21 June, with rates starting from $125 per room per night.
It has been many years since a Melbourne five star hotel has been able to offer such historically low room rates and these have been placed open for sale on Friday and Sunday nights in this four week period. Other special rates are also available for larger room and suite types on every day during this month.
The 180-room Hotel Windsor was built in 1883, pre-dating some of the world’s leading grand hotels including the Savoy in London, which was built in 1889, the Waldorf Astoria in New York which dates back to 1893, and the Ritz Paris which opened in 1898. It is renowned for its magnificent Victorian architecture, its award-winning service levels, and the dining experiences offered at the elegant 111 Spring Street restaurant, including the traditional afternoon tea.
