Have always been curious with the Bose companion speakers… And pretty tempted at this price. I think this might be the lowest is been.

Price drop on both the red and the blue speakers. Have one of these from previous desks and they are great speakers.

I rarely find it below $180 in the sales on ebay, do you have a link?

      • -3

just search the current 20% off mate. I see some of them a few day ago. Also there were a few during 10% off and 15% ebay plus.

          Can you share the link?

  • Device like this is great for watching TV. Shame that it is Bluetooth only

I'd rather it support aptX-LL than have a long wire that would have to run from my TV to the couch. Hopefully they finally support it in their next version.

      • Wire?

        • Hmm, when you said it's a shame it's Bluetooth only, what else were you hoping it would support?

          • @eug: Check out sennheiser rs 175. I have that, but I hate the clamping.

              Check out sennheiser rs 175.

Oh right, it uses 8FSK on the same frequency band as Bluetooth. aptX-LL will provide the same lower latency as 8FSK with the added benefit of working with any device that supports aptX-LL. 8FSK will only work with that specific transmitter.

              • @eug: I didn't know that. As long as it has no lag and don't require dingle.

          • @eug: Look up Sony wearable neck speaker SRS-WS1. Definitely not wired and has vibration

Still waiting for my Bose cricket protector to arrive.

  • I think this might be the lowest is been.

It was $347 last week. This is close enough though!

I'm more curious to see what people think if the Bose Frames when they are available.

Not being able to put prescription lenses is a big negative for me. What's the point of having them on and listening to tunes if I can't see where I am going…

      • Coming soon for you… Bose Contact Lenses…

      • The lenses seem to be replaceable…

        • Saw a reply from a Bose rep that if you put your own lenses in the glasses it voids the warranty. Assume it would be easy to interchange but it's very strange that they have that policy…

    • it's like if the earphones need repairs then you need another pair of glasses, vice versa. Tried and failed attempts by many in the past decades.

I tried them out at a Bose store. They're a neat concept, but the sound isn't anything to write home about. The stereo separation is impressive, but there's no bass whatsoever - and I mean none at all. A cute toy for people with lots of money, but not much good for anyone else.

Damn it OzBargain. Never heard about the Bose Soundwear Companion until an hour ago. 1 hour of reviews later and I've made another unnecessary purchase…

    Thanks OP

    • There's a return policy you know?

    • I'm sorry to hear that.

  • Prices for all 3 items now back up.

  • Waiting for this deal again… Hmm I wonder when they'll have this price again
