I know they've been available for a while now, but 5GB, 6GB, 8TB, 10TB drives… that still blows my mind!
Yeah, it's pretty tragic when you loose that much data with a failed drive and no raid setup.
12/14 and soon 16tb
Just insane sizes!
10TB blows your mind? What about 100TB SSD?

I am not touching these drives any more. New 3TB failed within a week of installation in a Synology NAS.
I had a similar problem with a 5 month old 4tb wd red. WD refused warranty because drive had been made >3 years ago. Fortunately the seller has offered a refund.
The question is which is best?
It’s funny we’re had around 70’odd 3&4tbs at work from all brands - wd red/Seagate/hgst.
All have had failures.
I just think that - this size just was bad all round.
I've had 8 of those 3tb drives running for a few years and haven't had any fail. It's all luck of the draw I guess..
Now showing only 2 left in stock for $363.29 on Amazon.
Only $319.20 on eBay using 'PEOFY' code
Been under $300 twice within the last month to. If buying multiple, probably better to wait.
At one stage had 24 3TB reds running 24/7. Think had one failure.
isn't this kinda expensive? I bought the 6TB version on Amazon just last week for $150
No, you got a bargain!
Hopefully, but considering the EFRX was manufactured over 4 years ago it might be a risky one.
about $15 cheaper then Umart
