  • Bought mine last weekend (price matching bing lee at officeworks). Fairly happy with everything.

    • What price did they match it from?

      • Yeah, because Officeworks specifically states they don’t match coupons. Their price match policy is amazing but unfortunately eBay Coupons aren’t included.

  • Good luck! Hope they don’t jack it. I’m holding out as well!

  • Code doesn't seem to work for this product?

    • Sale starts at 10:00am

  • Can't say i recall this much under $300

  • Has anyone tried these with a VPN?

    • +1

You can run a VPN within its network no problem, but you can't put a VPN on it.

There was a project called GaleForce that was supposed to solve this issue by unlocking the Linux OS it runs on and allowing SSH but it has since been patched.

Also, attempting to put it into bridge mode so you can use your own NAT or DHCP server won't work. Once you enable bridge it won't mesh with the other pucks.

It's a slick looking device and it works quite well, but if you're running a homelab or want to be able to really configure your router, this isn't the product for you.

  • Is there any value in this for me if I run the Asus rt68acu router already and have wifi in all rooms even though not full signal strength everywhere.

    • Nope, unless you are doing something intensive over wifi and you are seeing issues…

  • Interestingly as I was about to pay, had a message, seller made changes to an item in your cart message appeared, price stayed the same.

    • It’s an eBay issue.
Click pay again. Goes straight through.

  • Either sold out in many places over the last couple of days. Or they changed their pick up availability locations.

Grabbed one but driving an extra 4km. Oh the fuel.

  • +2

Just priced matched at office works, took a bit of convincing had to pull up their t and c's saying they price match online. Got it down to $273.79

    • Can you upload a receipt please.

      • +1
        • Late response but says on the terms and conditions here that they don't price match coupons, cashbacks or electronic codewords. Would like to know how you did it as I'm looking to to that next time this goes on sale.

          • @FormulaWon: Not sure, they should at least be able to match the price. T&C related to beating the price only

    • Pulled the trigger.. hopefully no more flaky wifi issues

  • I bought last week on the $314 deal. Anyway to get Bing Lee to match?

  • What are people thoughts on this or a 3 pack TP-Link Deco M5?

    • I am also wanting to find out, but it seems like deco is more suitable for wall placement for its slimmer profile.

      • +1

I bought the deco m5 after reading some reviews saying it's better on a few small things.

MSY have it for $249 for the 3 pack (Cheapest I've seen!) Office works price match it to $236, incredible deal. Would that be worth an ozbargain post?

        • +1

Thanks for this , I picked up one and price matched it with OW, set it up which was very simple and now have internet all corners of my place :)

          • @aedalat: Hey dude that's awesome!

I couldn't post it to ozb because I'm a low level user, and low level users can't post msy deals (because of their business shadiness) and can't post it about OW because you can't post OW price match deals. Oh well! 😊

  • Wifi 6 on its way, is that why price is dropping?
Really wanted these and at this price it's Steal however we finally getting NBN in the next 2 months (fingers crossed lol) and not sure should just wait for the supplied modem?
    Decisions aargh

Does Bing Lee's invoice say $349 or does it say $270

Important if you're looking to TRS it ;)

    • Invoice will list the item at full price, but also has a line with deduction of the eBay coupon.

      • Edit: My original comment was wrong. Usually sellers only show the full price but Bing Lee is the First I’ve seen showing the eBay promo on their invoice.

  • I grabbed on and was able to pick up within 30 mins, will have some fun setting it up this afternoon

  • not sure why google hasnt released a new version, this tech is from 2016.

    • Agreed but in fairness you can say that about most network hardware these days. Asus for example just announced a new router and the only difference was RGB lighting. Internals were from years ago…

  • All set up. Even though it told me to call google support.

I named my network the same as before.
I assumed it would have two networks with the same name in my wifi list.

However this is not the case.

Does anyone know if this is a problem? Or if I need to reset up my Telstra gateway to bridge mode? Or has that done it automatically?

    • mesh seems to be working, good coverage when I tested it through the app.
    • +2

You need to switch your modem to bridge mode.

These act as the router. Before you do that turn off your Telstra units wifi too.

  • how does this compare with the tenda nova mw6?

  • i'd wait for the rbk23 to drop to around $350, it has better controls.

    • There's a deal going on rbk50 Amazon with shopback comes down to 380

      • i need 3 though…rbk50 only has 2.

        • You may find 2 is way more than enough for coverage unless you live in a Faraday cage of some sort :D

  • +1

Thanks OP, I haven't seen a price this low even in the US.

  • Will this stack with current 10% code?

    • eBay codes never stacks.

  • Anyone had their order dispatched yet?
