Wow! I remember thinking once that $400 for a 40" UHD TV was cheap…how many months until we can pick a 75" TV for $75?

Is this a good TV for bedroom? My old man TCL LCD is really bad with colours and black level. This would be significantly better right?
100%
use it in the lounge was going to grab one for my bedroom too but i dont really watch tv in my bedroom so went against it.
colours are great.
remember this isnt a 1k tv so dont expect the same quality
for the price though cant go wrong
How is the sound?
No, it is only good for the lounge, bathroom, kitchen, hallway, laundry room, library, dining room, garage, conservatory, drawing room, landing, larder, music room, office and guest room.
where can I find one for 149 :O thanks
was on clearance from big w…… https://www.bigw.com.au/product/viano-49-udh-led-lcd-tv-tv49…
they took it off the website so cant price protection now :(
ohh no, thanks for sharing tho
Dang that's cheap! I want one too!
Chroma 4:4:4?
havent tested only really use it for sportsball when mates come over will get back to you tonight
Did you get a chance to look at it?
https://www.rtings.com/tv/learn/chroma-subsampling
There's a test pattern on that page if you need it.
would be acceptable as a computer monitor? i don't do photo editing or gaming, just general web browsing, media consumption?
how far will you be sitting away from the screen?
I've got a 4k 55inch I use on a daily basis. Def better than having 4x full HD monitors mounted everywhere
I read that as Porno editing.
What would be a better option for a kitchen TV, this or a similar sized Kogan?
Should we be wanting hdr or it's not a big deal?
Even a $1000 name brand TV doesn't do HDR correctly. You need to spend quite a bit to get a 'real' HDR experience.
So nah, I wouldn't say no HDR on a $284 TV matters.
Thanks buddy.
Hisense P7 series has a 10bit panel for "proper" HDR and can be easily found for under $1000 now.
Unless you consider proper HDR to be exclusive to OLED displays?
10bit is as real as hdr gets. And a 55P7 is well under $1000 with the 65P7 a little over $1000
Proper HDR requires good local dimming with many zones (or OLED), as well as 10bit.
Any one tried it as a monitor? if so how was it?
Thanks OP good price for a TV. Hope its not too rubbish.
Hi Op, Amazon has a slightly different price. It is showing $269 delivered.

Please check
thank you.
check what? where was amazon mentioned?
why did you link to a "just launched seller"?
Most of the time, those are scams
Showing as currently unavailable for me
No stock on Amazon
Would a tv at this price point be an upgrade from a 10+ years old plasma? Mostly to save energy…
Absolutely! Check the power specs of your TV & compare to any LED TV & I suspect the difference is substantial.
Oh for sure, hopefully it looks better too
Was about to pull the trigger but it doesn't seem to have an optical out (FYI for those who care)
Why, if you don't mind me asking?
I remember reading that HDMI was better for optical audio.I use up all the 4 HDMI ports for input and the TV passes the audio over to the home theater via so optical out.
I dont think this TV has smart features… just so your all aware.
a cheap google chromecast should fix all the problems :)
Got one. Hope it’s not a lemon
It isn't. It's a TV.
Received mine today. Unboxed it and found two scratches on the panel. I just sent them a message, will see what they say.
Damnit gunso, turns out mine was the lemon! :)
:( oh damn. The courier ask me to pick up the TV and warn me about the TV box looks squashed…
Grays said I can get it exchanged, they can organize for it to be picked up and a replacement sent. I asked if they could give a partial refund instead, and they agreed to $60. I can live with the two scratches for a $60 discount!
Thanks man, great tip.
I might get a partial refund too.
Although mine is like really bad…
The rubber came off and the bezel cracks…
Even though is a 300 TV but I'm totally not expecting the quality to be as bad…@kekw: Wow… it might be worth getting it replaced! Unless you really don't mind I guess.
I figured mine could possibly die in 2-3 years, so I might as well get it for as cheap as possible. If it ends up lasting longer, that'll be a bonus. :)
I believe I had this last year for the same price but it’s already broken
Got this for 149 (bought from greys then price protection from big w clearance last month)
it has hcdp 2.2
does 4k 60hz
lovely tv no issues at all.
