Was going to post this but I noticed that every item I purchased in an order the other day (during the last 10% off) has gone up by around 10%

    Not joking.

could that be the new pricing? (they included gts now and maybe you forgot about gst?)

    • Looks like the post was edited since you read it. It says "we now include GST within pricing".

    • +3

Yep just to confirm, I buy regularly from iherb so I can compare prices from recently to the current. Previously the GST was added at the checkout stage (which was annoying, actually) and now it is included upfront. The net price change is zero on the products I normally buy.

    • The price depends on the USD/AUD exchange rate and it is fluctuating.

    • Read the OP.

You mean email. There's nothing in the "OP" other than a copy/paste.

I knew about this 2 days ago.

Prices are up MORE than 10%

You said first around 10 percent, now it's more than 10 percent?

  • Anyone know what the best melatonin for kids?? are the gummys any good or just rubbish?

    • +2

I occasionally use Natrol 5mg time release. I don't recommend the immediate release ones. 5mg would probably be too strong for kids.

You should probably take your kids to see your doctor before medicating them with melatonin. I'm a doctor BTW.

We have. He got prescribed 3mg/5 drops. Buy the stuff u buy from the chemist here cost $44 and last 3 months. Looking for something more cost effective

        • Yeah it is expensive. I am frequently telling patients about iHerb so they can get melatonin at a reasonable price. I found out about it many years ago from a paediatrician who showed me.

          • @jazoom: have u ever had problem importing Melatonin before?

            • +1

@Gavman: I order regularly. Never had a problem.

            • +1

@Gavman: It arrives very quickly. I suspect they ship it from a local warehouse.

        • It's ridiculously expensive here considering how cheap it is in the US. You can buy over the counter melatonin here but it's not properly specified - the over the counter stuff doesn't have a mg rating, so who knows what is in it. There are no restrictions on importing Melatonin at the moment.

Why not get the drops? Or the cherry/citrus fast dissolve ones?

I use the natrol fast dissolve and the Superior Source microlingual.

            @bargainshooter:

You can buy over the counter melatonin here but it's not properly specified.

That's because it's homeopathic. There is no melatonin in them. And the real stuff is available. I asked the pharmacy next door to stock the Natrol stuff so my patients could buy it easily and they got it in stock.

          • @bargainshooter: The over the counter ones don't have a mg spec because they're homeopathic.

      • I don't like the time release. I much prefer the quick dissolve or the sub lingual. Very quick acting. As far as I understand, melatonin release in the body isn't ongoing - so why would time release be better? When I use time release I find it actually wakes me up mid sleep.

        • +1

The one I use has two layers, quick acting and long acting. It works just as fast as the quick acting I have. I don't use the quick because I wake up after 6 hours and can't get back to sleep.

          • @jazoom: Which slow release version do you recommend?

            • @bargainshooter: I've only tried the Natrol 5mg time release and the Natrol 10mg fast release. I'm happy with the 5mg time release, and it's one of the cheaper options, so I haven't tried any others. I don't use it all that often. I've only ever had one patient say they preferred to go back to the compounded version they were previously buying at a pharmacy.

  • Anyone know if I can stack discounts?

    • +1

If you have loyalty awards, reference money(clicking through someone else's reference code) and the own discount of the products, yes they can all be stacked.

    • Yes! I got 15% off my sports supps plus it let me had the 10% off promo code. They have rippa sales sometimes
