[PS4, XB1] Burnout Paradise Remastered $19.97 (New), $17 (Preowned) @ EB Games

Was looking for Burnout Paradise Remastered this price wasn't shown on pricehipster.com or comparegames.com.au
I'm sure there are more good deals in this sale but this is the one I was looking for at the cheapest price I could find.

  • I will pick the pre-owned.

    • I am curious why you would pick the pre-owned which is 3 dollars cheaper. Not saying there is anything wrong with it, but I've never owned pre owned games and just want to know your rationale

my understanding is the disc is only used to launch the game, Xbox/PS4 will just download the most up to date version from their web servers anyway, so having scratches usually aren't as worrying as they were on PS2 days where all the game contents lived on the disc.

        • On the contrary, scratches will prevent it from installing to begin with.

Before I got higher speed and bandwith I borrowed Xbox One games from video stores to avoid the hefty initial downloads, I rememember many, particularly Halo stopping at like 98%….

During the One's launch they also handled disc installation much worse….

Same on Xbox live - I got it for $7.49 in March. If you don't want a coaster and are willing to wait, no doubt will go on sale again in the future.

I will check whether I have this when I get home, otherwise a good deal. Love the Burnout games, most fun racing games going around. Not too technical, mildly ridiculous = good combo.

  • XB1 is same price @ Amazon

But as above, this has been considerably cheaper before

  • I used to love this game on PS3. Is there still a lot of people playing online?

  • Got it for $12 pre-owned a few months ago from EB. Same game as the ps3 version but in full 4K resolution now. Online free roam is quiet fun and love going into that mospit oval doing all jumps and crashing..

  • Meh, got this cheap digital a while ago and it doesnt have the intersection smash everything mode from previous versions which was always great fnu for some control passing around sessions. Also the takedowns aren't as good. Underwhelming.

  • I got this last xmas for $15 new from Target..
