Free play of Multiplayer Call of Duty: Black Ops from Thursday 10AM Pacific Time (for us it will start tomorrow-ish) to Sunday (probably 12am pst).
Just go to the store page and click on the free weekend banner to pre-load the game files via Steam (which you can play from 10AM Pacific Time).

yeah, they let you download an play for free for the weekend, then the game is locked until you buy it. Steam do this type of promo all the time (for different games).

Haha I know what you mean. It's just Activision's way of trying to hook that extra guy to play this game/purchase it.
Is it free for the single player campaign as well? You could finish the campaign in a single weekend if you are dedicated.

It's a 5 hour campaign.
Love how short the single player always is now. If youre a Ozbargainer who refuse to pay for xbox gold then you're basically left with a $90 fun pass for 5 hours
yeah they get you in the mp since most Single player games are easy to crack while multiplayer requires more skill and effort.
Actually starts at 3am EST (in about 4 and a half hours), if anyone is bothered to stay up
