    • About 7 days build time and a few days transit time depending where you are.

Make sure you guys are home when the package is being delivered. I had my i7 8700 build that was already late to be delivered today but since I and my wife were not at home they left a slip. We both work in office hours. Only thing is now I have to travel a incredibly long distance to collect the parcel as they didn't leave the package at my nearest aus post. I might have to collect the package in a startrack depot which is too damn far. Damn it. This is incredibly inconvenient. I dont blame techfast though, its startrack fault I assume.

  • First post - thanks for all the crazy info here. Just wanting to get some advice - My son's been saving and finally got his Oculus Rift S Last night. After much updating of drivers etc it turns out his Helios 300 display port isn't up to scratch even though it passes the Oculus system check. *DadFail

Time to upgrade to a desktop. I'll get at least $1k for the laptop. Already have an external monitor and mouse. Just wondering what the best spec system I can get for $1200 including keyboard? Thanks for your time

If you can stretch another $99 to $1299, the Ryzen 5 or i5 / RTX 2080 system is essentially the sweet spot for Processor vs Graphics Card vs value for money, anywhere in the market. The Ryzen 5 / RTX 2070 for $1119 is also pretty damn sweet and would allow for a good mechanical keyboard.

      • Thanks Luke- I'll sort out the details through email. Anyone else had any experience using these builds with VR? Thoughts on where to spend the cash- I've heard the 2070 is nearly as good and more reliable than the 2080? is this true?

  • How do you add wifi? I click on the wifi adaptor box in the upgrades, but theres no wifi

    • It went out of stock but I have re-added. It should be there now.

  • @rep Any chance of this deal again?

    • Not at the moment sorry

  • Would the Ryzen 3 2200G with onboard graphics and 24" monitor be the best I could do for the price to replace an aging laptop for my grandmother? It really is basic use, but want something easy to see and not break the bank.

    • From us, yep. I believe others here tend to recommend refubished Dells etc but I'm not sure on the specifics of those.
