Gigabyte GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3 Motherboard $108 @ MSY

80

Just happened to notice this in their price list, not sure if it's valid as I can't find it listed on their website.. Model is listed slightly incorrectly - should read GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3, instead of GA-Z68-MA-D2H-B3.

G-B Z68-MA-D2H-B3 108

Cheapest on staticice is $159, so it's a pretty hefty cut - http://www.staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=GA-Z68MA-D2…

Just installed one at work today and it's a great little board, plenty of overclock options as well. It does however only use the standard 4-pin 12V plug, instead of the larger 8-pin on most Z68 boards.

Maybe sticking the word motherboard in there would be helpful to some.

    • There you go - assumptions were made.

lol yeah if people don't recognize what that is then they aren't in the market to be buying one!

Not necessarily. That's not the point anyway. Deal post titles should have clarity so users can scan throught the multitude of posts on OzB with ease. See posting guidelines.

Sorry, my post was regarding support for Sandy Bridge.

Turns out it doesn't support Sandy Bridge. Thanks.

        Confused ?

This board does support Sandy Bridge… It's the Z68. O_o

        • +1

          it's sarcasm

this board is 1155, Z68 and the new updated B3 chipset

of course it is Sandy Bridge compatible… look at the link I posted…

        • Confused?

          LOL, I definitely was!

I misread "N/A = Not support" as not supporting Sandy Bridge. Sorry everyone, all cleared up now. Thanks for your help.

My vision is playing up—I have double vision, visual snow and a real bad headache tonight :(. Text is jumping around everywhere on the page for me, unfortunately nothing I can do about it except live with it.

Any bets no stores will have it.

  • Good specs for a mini atx board just missing hdmi.

  • Anyone else want to make a misinformed comment about the specs?

    • +1

Apparently it has SATA 4 and USB 7, along with 2 ThunderBolt ports.

I hear it doesn't take normal electricity to power it, it runs on tears that are the result of broken dreams.

        • Damn, I was hoping it would use some sort of wireless power.

Do you think it would be safe to put in the roof with two thunderbolt ports?
I've got an iron roof, and don't want to tempt fate too much.

    • d3ft, you've been here long enough to know that every second comment on OzB is misinformed, lol! That's the joy of the place, we all learn from one another.

  • Annnnnnnnnd the price is now $155.. Was going to head there this weekend. :(

Did anyone manage to get one, or find out if they had stock?
