I have one for work, and though it is occasionally useful, the majority of users won't get any value out of it.

    • is the apple pen more or less useful?
sorry just thinking if the whole point of the smart pen is moot.

      • IMO the Pen is more widely supported in the OS & apps on Windows (Surface) than in iOS (iPad).

I have the original one with my spro 3. I've used it maybe 3 times since buying it on release…

I had this also for my Surface Pro 4. Lost it and forgot about it until this post ;D

  • So not worth buying then?

Counter point of view: I use the Pen a lot. I take heaps of handwritten notes in OneNote (text, sketches, mind maps, drawing over photos & images, etc), it's also great for photo retouching, and with the latest versions of Windows you write directly into a lot of input fields and into emails (with either writing to text conversion OR send as image). The email thing I find really helps tablet mode stand alone, got short replies I don't feel like I'm better off attaching the keyboard.
