      Still too expensive😊

  • Same price at JB. Price match at Officeworks would make it $950 if you want really local stock.
Still can't commit to them though

    • +3

Why bother with Officeworks. When you can already get Local stock for $848.30 delivered from Mobileciti

      • +5

Just throwing it out there if people want to walk in to a store and walk out with a phone the same day.

  • +3

    That’s a lot of money for …….

  • +15

Google wont be sending updates to this soon. When updates stop, the phone will be useless. Literally nothing will work properly.

      • +1

Am on my phone.. just google it. Huawei got banned by big companies like google and ms. You wont get any updates. Not even apps.

    • Doesnt this happen to all android phones?

My razr maxx, galaxy k zoom and galaxy s4 all stop a while ago. While my redmi 3 has recently stopped. Doesnt make the phone useless.

But in saying all that still too expensive for $999.

      • -1

        Doesnt make the phone useless.

You did not get the memo? Hardware will stop functioning because huawei no longer member list for sdcard, wifi and bluetooth.

I guess someone forgot to tell the makers of rasberry pi also that their sdcard should not work at all because they are not a member either. LOL.

        Enjoy your huawei paperweights fam.

        /s

        • +1

Huawei has been silently added back again. Not in these membership just meant you don’t have a say in the standards. It does not mean you are not allow to use the tech.

          • +1

@auslei: Thats what i was saying in a bit of a round about way. The tech won't suddenly stop working because huawei is banned.

  • +13

I heard that this phone will never get android update

    • +1

Like Some other Android phones. You can still use jelly bean in 2019.

      • +1

I think i got a htc desire hd that has ice cream sandwhich. I could still use this to make call and get on the net.

But xoom its not a huawei. Ok. I have a huawei mate 7 that is my back up phone which im sure still works just fine. Or should i be worried it will spontaineously combust once huawei ban becomes permanent? 😰

Or at the very least the microsdcard reader will no longer function to read and write to an microsdcard. And wifi chip will cease to function and no longer connect to wifi. Same goes with the bluetooth chip. It will stop working.

New report! Google has reinstated the android Q for Huawei mate 20 pro. Search news!

    • +1

This was NEVER an issue. They can only apply the ban to unreleased devices at the time of ban was delivered.

  • -3

Yes the Huawei phones will be getting continued support for the next three months

  • -6

Not worth the risk. Stick to Samsung.

    • -4

Excuse me for your ignorance but Huawei is much cheaper than Samsung and a very reliable brand which makes good phones.

  • +3

I misread it as 999 rupees

  • -8

I’ll buy it after 3 months when there’s no android update. Just want a device for research purposes.

    • +1

I bought it when the P30 was free, 49pm for 60gb data for 12 months, not for research purposes.

    • +1

It's in the Android Q beta program. Don't get much more up to date than that.

    • +1

13 negs. What's wrong with them? It's purely unethical to sell any Huawei electronics since Huawei is already doomed. Their products are gonna be without any kind of support.

      • It's also unethical to spread false or misleading statements, or perhaps a little more research on the topic would help?

  • -4

The ban will be lifted as huewai has many supporters as Donald Trump has no solid grounds of any proof that China is spying so it will be reverted, technically what he has done is illegal.

"may reverse". I just want to highlight that

  • +1

If ban stays after 90 days of given grace period then none of the Huawei device will get further android updates and android services will stop working as well. Not only that , Huawei matebook series Laptop will have issues too getting updates from MS.

    Dont buy banned phone

    • +1

So if im buying it for the hardware? Still no?

  • +3

Huawei founder Renzheng Fei recommends iPhone. Did you not read the interview?

  • +4

Don't buy Huawei until the possible USA ban has been solved. Simple

  • +2

There seems to be lots of Huawei phones on special right now… coincidence? I think not.

    • End of financial year sale mate, is the entire Australian economy going down with Huawei?

      Or maybe it is? Lol.

      • Yep EOFY is always used to get rid of obsolete stock. Great excuse for retailers to get rid of excess Huawei phones and minimise the risk if things get catastrophic.

        • If there are out of the ordinary Huawei phone sales, please post them as I don't see any.

I see all talk but no real significant discounts.

  • Was going to be my next phone. But now going v40 for over $300 less.

I feel there’s alot of hate towards Huawei, this should be put towards the orange clown, he used to be funny now his just dangerous.

  • Huawei is disputing the ban in a Texas court on the grounds that the ban is unconstitutional. Meanwhile SD, wifi and Bluetooth have all quietly re-opened their doors to Huawei.
