The use of plus signs and slashes makes this deal seem better than it is.

    "Ryzen 3 2200G" for $599.40

    "RX 570 8GB + Ryzen 5 2600 RTX 2080 8GB" for $1299.60.

    Someone should fix it.

I would think the sweet spot for top end 1080p gaming is their "Ryzen 5 2600 RX 580 8GB 120GB SSD 8GB DDR4." But the "A320M to B350M Motherboard" upgrade is a total must, as from the Computex coverage on YouTube atm, all the upcoming Ryzen stuff has no A320 support so you would have no upgrade path without it.
      ($799 + $39) * 0.85 = $712.30

Add onto that the Amazon $125 16GB Vengence 3000MHz kit and sell the 8GB stick that came with this for $50.
      Add on a Crucial BX500 480GB special for $60-$65. Sell the 120GB for $20
      $712.3 +125 -50 +65 -20 = $832.30

      Compared to MSY:
      B450M-K
      Ryzen 5 2600
      RX 580 8GB
      16GB DDR4 3GHz
      480GB SSD
      Thermaltake Versa+600psu
      $998

      ~16.6% saving, nb.

Edit: if you paying with Woolies eBay 10% off cards… 24.9% off. Hnnghh, I really shouldn't….

  • these deals just get better and better

    is $1299.60 to $1244 a good price?

or if I built myself it can be made cheaper?

    • You won't be able to come close to building it for that.

Still, some components aren't as ideal, and their upgrade prices are a little steep IMO.

      • -4

        how so?
would you be able price pick a spec build e.g. from msy part lists and from ebay e.g. 20% off sellers to see how close?

I am thinking this build must use cheapo parts e.g. motherboard, case, powersupply, ssd, ram etc..

at least with our own build we can pick more quality parts

        • So you want me to spec the same system for you?

You do realise tech fast deals have been posted dozens of times lately? Plenty of discussion.

But as I said. You won't be able to get beat the build for this price. Yeah of course your parts are better, but the CPU and GPU alone justify it.

          • -3

            @scuderiarmani: up to you..

I can spec it myself, but you said it won't close to this price
so I was just curious how you came to this conclusion if you haven't spec a build yet.

Yes, I have seen this sort of deals posted alot on ozbargain whenever there is a coupon code on ebay..

Like I said though, the only problem is we don't know what brands they used..
also another important thing is the motherboard they used and the psu brand..

things like the motherboard determines how many hdd you can ultimately add to this pc etc..

and cheapo psu will not last as long and could blow out etc..

@pinkybrain: I just told you. The GPU and CPU alone are the value on the 2080 system. They already discussed reguarly the GPU that's used.

              The rest is irrelevant then.

Now you are just wasting time.
