    Do these work with Alexa?

  • You need to take cooking very seriously to pay this much for pots and pans

Free delivery with prime makes this an excellent deal, All-Clad is basically the homecook gold standard. Don't forget Amazon cashrewards for 10% back.

  • What is so good about this that it's worth 700+?

    • +3

Even and fast heat distribution, extremely durable, made in the USA, oven safe.
They won't be worth it for some, but for people who are passionate about cooking, these are usually at the top of their wish-list.

They also don't warp like cheap cookware tends to do

IKEA's Sensuell range is a pretty good alternative to All Clad if you're after something (a lot) cheaper. The handles are kinda crap though

    • But Sensuell is super heavy, and takes a long time to heat up. 😩

All-Clad are fabulous, but no-one really needs this many pans. It's better to choose individual pans for the type of cooking you do (similar to the problem with knife sets) and buy when there's a great special price. I have two All-Clad saucepans like this and they are fantastic. Heat transfer is even (and better too because the aluminium core extends up the sides to some extent).

Non-stick has its place in a kitchen, but because almost all non-stick gets damaged so easily I went over to mostly stainless steel pans, but with reservations. Honestly, although things of course stick a bit, almost everything comes off easily in the wash, and if it doesn't, a little bleach or bicarb does the trick.

  • Yes these are great, but you're also paying a premium for the name.

Look for alternatives such as tri-ply stainless steel.

    • I have a tri-ply saucier from Calphalon which I’m very happy with. About half the price of the All-Clad one.

As a bachelor that doesn't cook…these could give the right impression that I do.

  • How is it ten piece when it’s 6 pots/pans? Do they seriously count the lids?

    • Yes, maybe it's the American way of counting. 😉

  • Have a 3 piece all clad set and kirkland signature costco tri ply stainless steel set. For home cooking, Costco stuff performs similar to allclad, at 1/3 of the price.

Costco pack is <$300. I cannot recall if it is 13 pieces or 10 pieces.

Note: the costco stainless steel is thinner than the all clad one.
