Samsung still having the 46mm + LTE galaxy watch on sale $519.20 for a while now but I wasn't interested in the LTE version.
Finally they have the normal 46mm galaxy watch for $439.20 through EPP account.

A 2-year warranty with ACL fallback isn't worth it?
i have seen guide online that you can change the region of grey import to be AU so samsung pay will work.
Samsung Warranty has been fantastic for my 2yo Gear S3…why do you say its 'hardly a reason'….warranty is always a valid reason…
I've just had bad experiences with Samsung repair and their VOC team/s, on multiple occasions.
Such as " sorry your IP68 rated device is water damaged due to corrosive parts, we can't fix this and won't change out the parts without additional charge (within the warranty period)"
It's not like I'm a scuba diver or something :-(
I figure - a watch, is probably going to be beaten and battered more so than a phone in a cover, over time. So Samsung will make excuses not to repair.
thats understandable and i was sorta in the same boat as you, here is my timeline with their service centre.
my first experience with them was a nightmare trying to replace my rear glass on my Gear S3 (paid service because it was user fault). They buggered me around and took over a week with constant conflicting SMS's from them and un-resulted calls to them. Got put onto VOC and the end result i got 2 movie tickets and a $100 VISA GC. I didnt care for those extras at that point i just wanted my watch back but in hindsight, that was very good of them being my original service cost just over $100.
2nd Service was for my screen burn on my S8, thanks to Aus warranty, my 22month old phone for a new screen + they did a complimentary tray replacement and new battery.
3rd service was my Gear S3 battery being really crap so i asked them to just do a health-check. they sent it away and the next day they told me they replaced the battery and circuit board because it wasn't working 'as expected'. This job cut it fine with my 2yr warranty expiring the day i got it back.
TL;DR, first service was a nightmare and i was dead set on never using Samsung again. Service 2 & 3 were under warranty and surprisingly Samsung went above and beyond what i had expected of them and now i have an S10+
@ExtraSalt: Woh! that's lucky!
Did you write to the president of Samsung or something! ;-)
@willb: haha i said 'do you know who i am?!' then proceeded to pull up a camp chair whilst pulling out a cheeseboard
Also available through the Samsung Education Store at the same price
Shattered I missed out on the 40% off pre order offer from enhanced partners when this watch first came out. I can't get the courage to pay overs knowing there was a better deal and I missed out.
Agreed. I still can't pull the trigger on a 1060 for anything less than 199.
Got mine during the pre-order. Had an issue with the first one- had to return it. Samsung had the worst service ever compared to Apple (and that's saying alot). Finally shipped me my second one. Been going strong since (except sleep recording is quite a bit off). Other than that, the convenience of leaving wallet and phone behind has been amazing. Taking calls on it is also really handy during certain situations.
Would recommend it even at this price, although pre-order was 389.20
agree, mine was faulty had to send it back 3 times. steps don`t count properly, hr monitor stops during work outs. only reason i got a refund finally was they chipped the screen on the 3rd repair i then had to wait 28 business days for a refund Samsung support is fking terrible never again
Me too.
Anyone know if there will be a new watch this year? Not the Active one.
Hoping they have a similar preorder deal.
329$ that was
320 was for the 42mm I believe. 389 was for 46mm. Still have my receipts.
4G model
Galaxy Watch Active is $279.20 via educational store
Thanks OP.
If one is willing to give up Samsung pay .. I think Grey market is still better value, imo.
Samsung warranty is hardly reason to buy it here.
