  • Bah! I just paid $51 for the cheaper HX8 variety yesterday! Might be worth getting some of this for next time anyway though

    • you could take it back, but the ECT ACEA C3 version is more for diesel engines with a DPF, which HX8 is not.

  • PS: This is not VW 504/507 Approved.

  • This is a very good oil for Peugeot/Citroen diesel engines that require low saps. They recommend Total engine oils which is imposible to find so the Valvoline offers the closest specs. C4 has even lower saps but does not provide lubrication as much as the C3. I've used Magnatec Castrol and Penrite but not as good as Valvoline.
