  • For any order above 1000, it might be best to hold off in case the MADMAY-style savings come round again.

  • Why not just lower the price rather than throw these coupons every day?

    • because for some people, they won't notice how much they actually save!

  • There was a "LATENIGHTSALE" coupon on the evening of 27/5/2011 which offered 40% off if your config (doesn't incl accessories/warranty upgrades!) is > $3600. The only machine capable of this sort of configuration was a X220T — the price went down to $2200, which is unheard of if you had to bump up the specs to such a high level!

Unfortunately it only lasted from 8 pm to 12 am (28/5).

    • $2200 is still much more expensive than the lenovo us website so not a good buy. Go for thinkpad edge which is the only range that's cheaper than lenovo us website.

      • Yes but if you have had issues with the machine like myself with a T410 purchase 3 months ago, then you'll want the Depot warranty which is based in Aus?

Ultimately it's a gamble. I'll have to say, with the previous four Lenovo laptops I've bought/strongly recommended to friends, none of them have encountered a single issue.

  • quick question regarding the us website… if purchased in the states will you be able to transfer the warranty to here?

    • Only if it comes with international warranty. I was looking to buy from US and saw a thread from Whirlpool forum recommending this ebay seller http://stores.ebay.com/New-Thinkpads. Most of his machines have 3 years international warranty. The model I wanted for work is selling locally at AUD2800 after 30% discount and his ebay store is selling for AUD1700 including shipping. You do the math.

  • Swear tried 3 credit cards on each of those sales.. and it won't go through the payments..
once on Monday, Once on Friday and once today
unauthorizes each one for some reason.. even tried doing it on another computer.. nothing is wrong with the credit cards too..
