Samsung QLED 8K TV Q900 Series 65" $6995, 75" $10995 (Bonus $1000 Gift Card + $500 EFTPOS Gift Card) @ Harvey Norman

70

I was browsing for the new 65-inch Samsung QLED Q90 series when I stumbled on this deal. With all the gift cards added the 8K Q900 is equal in value to the 4K Q90 ($5495 at JB Hifi):
- 65 inch QA65Q900RBWXXY = $6995
- Free $1000 HN gift card
- Free $250 EFTPOS gift card
- Another $250 EFTPOS gift card when trading in a technology (the sales person told me "anything with a screen counts")

I hope this helps!

Wondering who will pay that for a 8K TV now?

    • Someone who doesn't care about HDMI 2.1 and money :P

well this is where it at all starts. Everyone was saying the exact same thing when 4k become available.

Better off with a 4K OLED

Mostly. But the brightness in these TVs can go upto 4000 nits - there will be cases where people would choose these TVs eg someone who likes to tan while watching TV.

I guess if you wanted to be super prepared for the 8k Olympics broadcast? In the unlikely event we actually get that stream here…

      Upscaled to 8k from 720 on 7Mate?
      Should look great…

    • Even if we do get that stream this is assuming our internet will be good enough to stream 8k. Big ifs!

Spending 5000+ for a TV is crazy.

(Speakjng from someone who buys $1500+ phones)

  • Exactly what 8k content even exists right now?

    • Prepare to loop 8K demo on it XD

    • Demo content and some youtube videos. No point in buying this yet. It'll only be relevant in about 2-3 years.

    • You can run computer desktop and attempt to run games :D

      • Just would 4 2080ti's in sli;)
