    Great game!

    • Text chat is part of the reason. Always end up laughing in nearly every game.

The community seems like a healthy split of chilled but sarcastic gamers, and salty nerds.

        • And those salty nerds are the best to ridicule. Hitting em with the "2 ez" at the end of the match and watching them rage is too satisfying. Never played a game that has had such a toxic community.

  • With this Steam game, gamers will receive a huge roster of specialized operators, each with game-changing gadgets to help you lead your team to victory.

They seem to have cut and paste the wrong game description since it’s a uPlay key not a steam key

  • This game is very good, however be aware that at times the community is as toxic as any other large multiplayer game. Ubisoft doesn't really seem to care that much about it apart from adding 'report player' and their new 'reversible damage' thing that won't fix anything. Definitely try and play with people you know. The game is excellent and rewards teamwork when you don't have a bunch of trolls team killing you at the start of the round.

    • Use a mic, and don't spam annoying accents or music through that mic, and very few tks will occur.

      • Negative.

        • No offence but you must be young, bad, or have a super annoying voice.

Very little undeserved tks at any decent level of the game. Unannounced/unexplained tks are usually avenged by randoms who keep the peace.

          • @ozbjunkie: Not young, not bad, have played high level of most competitive games, no annoying voice.

Throw assumptions all you want, you're probably a fat neckbeard in bronze, no offense though of course.

            • @Kozhutki: You're the one complaining about getting tked all day - the common denominator in your experience is you buddy.

            • @Kozhutki: I didn't complain, learn to read.

              • @Kozhutki: Ahh I see your comments re tks were a glowing endorsement, and the simple reply of "negative" to my assertion that underserved tks were not common was indicating your general agreement with my comment based on your experience.

                U win.

  • I'm trying to figure out the difference between this edition and others. Can outbreak packs and operators be obtained by playing?

    • Yes it has the usual boring grinding mechanic that makes you feel like shit with a problem entirely of the developers making that you can only solve by paying money.

Another Ubisoft title to avoid unless you like supporting garbage but hey a lot of less discerning fools seem to be playing it.

Not that I defend this practice but there are people that do not need to have all content there is for a game and hence are quite happy with what is in the standard version. Also, keep in mind that this version apparently is different from the basic version that was available before (less grinding).
Personally, if I was playing this game I would not need to have all the operators - surely the game is playable with the given operators.
Of course, if one is obsessed with having 100% content of a game, then yes, another version is more appropriate but I feel that then is not so much a developer's issue but the individual's - it is just sad that the developers take advantage of such an issue but I guess that is business.

All versions have access to all operators, maps and cosmetics. If you pay for the more expensive versions, they immediately give you all previous operators. In this version, you can unlock them via in game currency… you get about 400 units of it per 15 min match. There's 20 year 0 operators, and they cost between 500- 2000 depending on the order you get them. Year 1 DLC are 10,000, Year 2 15,000 and year 3 are 25,000. I would say buy the more expensive edition that includes all the operators.

    • Thanks for the responses; much appreciated!

I'd disagree and say buy the basic version (NOT THE STARTER EDITION). There are plenty of ops to get used to without buying DLC, and what else will you have to spend your in game currency on if not characters?

Basically, for 10 bucks you get access to enough Characters to keep you entertained for the first 100 hours, after which you will be able to unlock more. And besides, if you play for 100 hours, you'll have no trouble unlocking all the characters through play time.

  • made this mistake and bought the basic version on Xbox. Quickly worked out the grind involved and then saw Ubisoft had the Ultimate version with all the operators unlocked and the Year 3 pass on special (was about $55 on special) took back my basic copy to EB.

Wait for one of those sales for the Year 4 Ultimate edition
