Saw this at Hornsby Woolworths and not sure whether this is available at all Woolworths.
Please note that this is a lower grade Basmati Rice compared to India Gate Classic and Premium. However it is good for everyday cooking.

So Premium > Classic > Exotic?
Thanks for the info.
Classic premium exotic
Woollies home brand basmati is better then exotic but classic is definitely no1
Same for coles, no longer buying these brands anymore
not a deal for an everyday rice this is normal price. the premium foes for 15-17 so how is the rrp 20.
Yes you are right
@cipher going based on Woolworths pricing and not any other pricing from other grocery stores. If you do know any other stores that give it for less or better Basmati Rice for cheaper than RRP, please post it on for the benefit of other ozbargainers..
Plus everyone doesn't have access to independent ethnic grocery stores.
Sunrice Basmati is much better. As good as Classic IMHO.
@[Deactivated]: Yeah I agree. But everyone has a personal choice I guess. For me I need to have a really long and slim grain ( which tends to be expensive) with no sticking at all.
This (except classic or Premium) have to be the lowest grade Basmati rice by this company. bought a bag last time, Not touching it ever again…
Indiagate Classic is best basmati not premium
Hey guys. The indian gate sella basmati is so much nicer. $13.50 for 5kg
I really hope to touch a real Premium Basmati 'cause both of this type and another brand of basmati rice made in Parkistan gave all my family the taste of 'plastic'somewhat, although the Indian Gate type tasted just a little better than the one from Parkinstan.
Since guys says it's not premium, any other recommendations?

Not sure if this is nice. India gate golden sella 5kg $13.5 at Coles
It's the only one I buy. I highly recommend it
I only eat rice grown in Australian. Not sure about the polution level in other countries.
In an ideal world, I would agree.
But rice is a flood crop being grown in a drought continent.
Good brand
