Thanks for this, just got one through Amazon 👍🏻

    • Back to $77.95 on Amazon AU…bugger

  • Can do fade style with this?

    • Also curious how well it fades. I've got a standard pair of Remington clippers that I've gotten used to, but wouldn't mind replacing them with something easier to use.

      • i just did quick google/youtube, actually we can do fade with any clippers, just need to change the comb multiple times.

  • Thanks, been looking at these. Grabbed from Amazon

These things are awesome, especially for those of us who are balding and need to keep the hair up top Nice and short!

Can you do a DIY short back and sides properly with this?

    • How close a shave will this do?
I've got absolutely rubbish post-chemo hair and am wanting that bowling ball look, but my current shaver leaves it prickly.

      • It won't go that close.

With no attachments mine still leaves something to feel (just not much to see).

        • Thanks for that, mate!

I don't have anything productive to add but your desire to be a bowling ball made my day. Thank you.

        • Haha you're welcome, I've been told I've got a good head for baldness

      • Always good to look pretty post-chemo! Hope you are doing well mate :-)!

        • +1

Definitely! I tried edible panties, but it didn't make me feel as sexy as I would have liked.

      • Mine arrived 2 nights ago. Unfortunately they don't cut super close, I was hoping for a complete bold look (like what you get from a razor blade). But, yeah it does leave a small layer of hair.

      • if you want the bowling ball look you would need to get the last bit with a razorblade.

  • I have a "Made in USA" WAHL which works quite well but I do find it to be quite heavy and difficult to maneuver. Is this Remington clipper going to be better than my WAHL?

    • +1

I use a Made in USA Wahl as well but have used this one the last few times I clippered my hair. It is lighter but it is wider and has a curved blade rather than straight - which can make it a faster job but I found it to be a bit tricky around the ears.

I actually picked one of these up on clearance from Target a while back for $29. Might be worth checking your local store in case there are some still available. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/442964

I have both too and this is exactly my experience.. I also find this with no attachment is a slightly closer shave than the Wahl. I like using both in combination.

  • already have one.. bought a second as a spare as for those folic-ally challenged this works a treat for a very close cut

  • Nice thanks! I missed out on the $60 ones last week, so that works :P

    • wait next 3 months maybe $40

  • Thanks, also missed out on the recent Myer deal so grabbed one today

  • Anyone know if these can be used in the shower?
The instructions aren't quite clear cut
