I was looking for a pre-paid plan for my iPad Pro and this one came up. Same data and cost as Boost for 365 expiry (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/440667), except Boost include calls and SMS which aren't much use in a tablet. On the other hand, Telstra does come with sports streaming and Telstra Air for free, and that reassuring "Telstra" in the corner of your device vs "BOOST" if you care for that sort of thing.

No. Boost doesn't use Telstra ID for billing
Asking for a friend or you actually use Telstra Air?
I understood the use-case back when data was expensive, but now?
The 'regular' PrePaid Max offer has almost as much data/time/$ at 150GB/365/$300 but includes calls, SMS, etc, has data rollover and $100 of premium whatever. Unfortunately the extra money can't be used as Google Play credit any more. If you're willing to go in for a year, of course.
They've also got some "first 4 recharges" bonus data things going on too for some of the other recharge levels.

Maybe not in an iPad. But my Tab S4 can call and message.
Fair enough, that's really cool functionality!
And is also hilarious when you see someone using a tablat for a phone too!
Expired. Damn.
It it possible to buy and activate a Boost mobile sim (with calls/text included) and put it in a Telstra Huawei e8372 usb dongle and use this with my laptop as a data only plan? I already have a mobile phone plan and don't like hotspotting my phone - I'd rather have a dedicated usb dongle for data. The Boost mobile plan is a good price at $12.50 / 6.66 GB per month, even if used for data only.
Anyone know if the Telstra dongle will work, and is this possible to achieve?
Can Boost use Telstra Air?
