      Yes. They even have the nerve to claim "the latest CCTV tech".

      We should stop tolerating such grievous lies from salesmen. Vote accordingly, or they will never be honest.

      And specs leave out the most important things like camera type (TVI?), sensor size and focal length.

      Agreed, BNC was only invented in 1945 so latest tech is a very long stretch. Should read "packed with 74 year old CCTV tech such as 18 metre BNC cables for each camera"

              just add in a poe extender if distance/power-loss is an issue (eg 100m+)
              (quality Ethernet cabling and terminations obviously also a factor)

    POE is a minimum for easier installation. BNC is horrible when you DIY installation.

      Video signals are not designed to run on twisted pair. It's the convenience and not the norm.

    Peoples, If you buy them, I recommend you purchase extra warranty period. My power adapters died after 18 months and I was out of warranty. But Swann did me a solid and replaced them for free but it was a hassle to go through the hoops etc plus cost of an electrician.. Get the extra warranty is my suggestion..

        Trust me I am no store rep… I said it was a hassle fopr me to get them to replace 2 power adapters… They said it comes with the standard 1 yr but you can purchase additional which I didn't but after arguing over 2 days they gave in to me.. Which they should as what power adapters die after 18 months..

    Review here, that I would take with a grain of salt.
    Do yourself a favour and buy a proper 4MP or 5MP wifi/ethernet camera(or even 1080p would be better - my 720p cheapos look better than this Swann)
