Limited Edition Ruby Chocolate Kit Kats now available in Woolworths for only $2 each.

Used to cost an absolute fortune to import, so I believe it is a deal.

    What's your verdict?

Tried one a couple of days ago. Very light flavour, not chocolate, not "ruby". Did nothing for me, but the Mrs enjoyed it. I'll stick with the original.

Quite liked it. A more subtle flavour than white for sure but I would only have it as an alternative from milk chocolate or other flavours. I’m excited for more flavour combinations.

      Tastes like yogurt.

      • That's what we thought of the $15 kitkat studio (melb) one.

    • ONLY $48/Kg

I got it and it tasted near identical to the expensive ruby chocolate I got from a chocolatier (as a once off to try this new thing).

The chocolate looks alright but $2 for 41 grams is no bargain.

I do agree, but for the better part of a year now the only way to get any was at the Kit Kat chocolatory or whatever they call it and they wanted 5 bucks a stick at launch and that was your only option.

So like, yeah, it's not a bargain for just chocky, but, if you were really keen to try ruby, then yeah, it's a decent deal. I'll allow it.

    • This guy gets it, I would recommend if you have never had ruby chocolate and want to try it for a low $$ amount.
But per kg its a horrid price

KitKat Ruby (RRP $2.00) is available in Woolworths stores nationally for a limited time.

Doesn't really seem like a bargain to me.

Quite nice. Almost a fruity flavour that I can put my finger on. Wouldnt mind in big block size.

    • Would that be… yogurt?

    • Tastes like raspberry and macadamia to me shrugs

Saw this the other day and was a bit annoyed, I finally caved and picked up a 150gram block from the Kit Kat store in Melbourne Central the other week for 15 to see what all the fuss was about.

It's quite nice. I mean it's also just another Kit Kat, but like, for 2 bucks, get your curiosity sorted, it is quite nice. But 15 bucks for a 150g block nice? Nah.

  • We brought back almost a dozen flavours of Kit Kats from Japan a few weeks back. Sakuri was good.

  • Nice but not a bargain

Maybe more of a Frugal Feeds-type post, but nevertheless, thanks OP, I will look out for this next time I'm in-store.

  • I think it tastes great, like a mild raspberry flavoured chocolate. Unfortunately not really worth the premium though

  • Interesting…. last year, San Churro claimed they had exclusive Australian license to sell Ruby Chocolate.
I wonder if that's expired or if these are parallel imports….

It has. I think they had a 6 month licence until nestle could enter the market.
I'm hoping its easier to obtain standard Ruby blocks now
