[QLD] Switch Your CTP Insurance to QBE and Get $50 Back on an EFTPOS Card @ QBE (New Customers, Aged 30+)

81

Same as previous deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/435312

Over 30 and have a car registered in QLD?

How would you like a voucher of up to $50 in value simply by switching your CTP to QBE?

CTP Insurance is mandatory in Queensland, and is included as part of vehicle registration. Sometimes known as rego insurance, CTP covers you by providing compensation for other people seriously injured or killed in the event of an accident and you are the at fault driver.

Gift card is only available to new QBE CTP customer for their first year. It is not available to existing customers.

If you are already with QBE you can instead get a $30 gift card or charity donation by switching to suncorp.

You might get $50 back but if you or your family are injured in a car accident QBE will fight you to the death to avoid paying out on a personal injury claim. This insurance company is the cream of the scum.

I thought CTP is for the 'other' party in an accident?

That's what I thought too..? It sounds like what you really need is life insurance….

        • *private health insurance… But yes perhaps consider life insurance too

      • Correct. Also QLD Introduced the NIIS in July 2016 (Along with a big rego increase to pay for it). Which states:

"The National Injury Insurance Scheme, Queensland (NIISQ) is a no-fault scheme that provides necessary and reasonable lifetime treatment, care and support to those who sustain eligible serious personal injuries in a motor vehicle accident in Queensland, on or after 1 July 2016"

I am only qualified for $25 for 12 months term. Anyone got the same? Since the switching process only costs me a mouse click, will do anyway.

    upto $50*

    only certain postcodes get $50

    others $25

and this is ongoing deal , never expires , correct ?

  • yeap only $25 for me i guess i dont live in the richer surburbs. is there a way to check who is your current ctp provider without having to wait for the renewal notice?

  • CTP Insurance is for any party injured and NOT at fault eg. the wife next to you in the passengers seat OR the wife in the other car.

    • Is that not the insurance you pay as part of your rego?

      • yes it is, QLD (and maybe another state?) you can pay the insurance company instead of the gov.

  • Yes it is and it covers you if you injure anybody.

  • just $25
