I have this phone, gotta be honest, the front facing camera being located on the bottom right kind of sucks. They suggest flipping phone upside down to take selfies. Other than that, not a terrible phone. Sometimes messenger crashes whilst typing and you need to re-open/type everything again, but decent phone for the price.
Snapdragon 845
DUAL SIM (can be added to title)
Enticing spare play phone to test Chinese Xiaomi MIUI software yourself.
I think an S9 Samsung is the comparison model to this (both Snapdragon 845).
Worth a gamble imo
S9 in AU uses Exynos 9810. It's known to be inferior to SD845, at least when compared with S9's US model that comes with SD845.
Just saying…Not that it matters (I don't know, typing this at 1:45AM)
Also, nice username! You deserve an upvote for that
Anyone around here running LineageOS on one of these? Looking to replace wife's S5 that drowned today.
No, but I use lineage on the mi mix 2….
Typing from one running lineage now. With lineage it's a very nice device. Only issue I've run into is having to flash the MIUI Dev firmware every now and again to be able to update lineage. Otherwise I definitely recommend.
Thanks.
I have this phone, after some teething issues it's a keeper. A$449 with GST, so if you're a business or TRS, just over A$400.
1) Make sure this is proper Global version - not a Chinese version flashed with Global ROM. Global has Band 28 with VoLTE and NFC.
2) The Google Camera works via sideload. It's sensational - only the second phone (after the Lumia 950) that can take photos in the dark. (I'm sure the Pixel does too!)
Great phone, after a few xda tips on getting hotspot to work and enabling VoLTE, it does everything I want, well.
VoLTE
Oh yes please, any links?

Increasingly important since Telstra have already removed one band in the support for default voice on 3G…
FYI, there is an added discount coupon available to get the price down to USD $287.16 = ~AUD$408.81 if you are a "new buyer"
New buyer coupons https://www.dhgate.com/activities/promotion/newbuyerpack.htm…
there is $18 off $239 spend.

But……. I was automatically charged in AUD $418.21, so i went on their live chat. It seems they auto-detect your local currency and have no option to let you pay in USD if you are in Australia.
"As of now, there is no option for us to change the currency to be used on your order. Our default currency is USD and once you proceed to pay the order, the system will detect the Local currency of the address provided on your order and let your Bank pay for the order with that."
wish i read this properly before i purchased. o well
Your payment has been made!
Order No. : 31#####
You have paid : US 307.01
as of now
USD307.01 = AUD437.27
AUD $418.21 would have been much better
I would be a little wary of this seller.
I put my order in but want going to pay until i had some answers about whether it was a true global version. My messages have gone unanswered for 6 days. I even asked Dh Gate to contact them for me as well and still no response. It's important to differentiate if it's M1803D5XE or M1803D5XA because the XE version is Chinese and won't have B28.
I also had no clarification on warranty.
I will be cancelling my order with them. Great deal if it's the real deal, but it seems too risky
Any updates on your order or whether this was the proper Global Version or not?
anyone found a good deal ?
My order didn't arrive.
Dhgate has confirmed to refund.
Awaiting to receive refund on Credit card.
Sigh
No band 28, if that matters to you.
