Bumped to $12. Those who bought since 3pm will have the $10 rate updated in their accounts to $12 (due to caching there will be a small delay before you see the change).

    • +2

I ordered before I posted the deal which would've been just before 3pm, any chance I can get $12?

      • Same

      • +6

Yep sure, just message me your SB registered email address.

        • +1

          Thanks, PM sent.

        • Hi Rep. Any plans to bring back dell 10% cashback?

    • +5

Good on you mate. A lot of my business has gone your way over the last couple of months. Keep up the good work (aka incentives).

    • wow. mad!

    • +1

I purchased one via my Shop Back account. Can I buy one more using the offer and same account?

    • +1

It's since gone back down to $10 - any chance I can get the $12 rate again? Pretty please?! :)

  • nice

  • When does this end?

    • +1

Doesn't have an expiry, website mentions 'ongoing'.

  • +1

Oh no! Just bought this yesterday

  • Can be rxisitng customer previously? Just need new email?

    • Yeah, new email is fine.

    • Correct, new customers are differentiated by Catch Connect accounts (so different email addresses) this was mentioned by the rep in a similar deal here

    • or can be same email if the previous catch # that you had has been removed because it expired long time ago

  • +1

Don't you just hate it when you bought something and the next day a better deal pops up.

    • +1

You can consider buying more to average down your cost.:)

      • Mathematically, this does not work out. If you buy 100 the average loss will be about ¢2(?) But you have spent $200 (assuming you get cashback)!!?

  • +2

Is it only 1 Catch Connect cashback per Shopback account?

    • +11

Nope this term is only for amaysim.

  • Does new customer include port out and port in?

    • +1

New customer definition is here - but it'll be Catch's call on cashback approvals if they decide to do stricter checks.

  • Just noticed there had been some issues when porting out from catch to kogan and was wondering had there be any difficulties porting to boost?

  • +2

Tbh I feel like Kogan’s $5 for 40GB is just easier. I can simply chuck one of my Kogan sims in my phone when I need another one, and purchase and receive the code online within a few hours. Much better for me than to use Catch, and have to wait for sims to ship out. Plus, don’t have to wait for cashback.

    • Remember this is for 90 days as compared to Kogan which is only 30 days

    • this is 3 months though compared to Kogan $5 for one month
Also in some parts the optus network by catch is better compared to the vodafone network by kogan

    • Yeah, if cash back was instant it's a no-brainer (if you have time left before your Kogan cycle ends). But if you normally use 40 GB a month the benefit is minor. However, the $2 saving vs the Cashrewards deal makes it slightly more lucrative. But I probably wasted a few dollars of my time getting them to follow up why my click didn't track and then advertise that fact on OzBargain…

  • I'm getting t.cfjump.com refused to connect error when I clicked on "Activate cashback" on this https://www.shopback.com.au/catch-connect.

    Any ideas?

I tried on 2 browser (chrome (with adbloch/ghostery turned off) and Safari (no 3rd party extensions installed)

    Thanks

    • +1

I've just tested it and it works fine. Potentially a firewall/network issue?

    • I found out that they don't like VPN, in this case NordVPN. Once turned off it worked OK.

  • +5

price war in 90 days plan now.. Olala

Buy and then get Uber Eats - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/453889

  • oh just bought the kogan

  • When does this expire?

    • +3

No set expiry yet but it won't be ongoing,

      • Surely: 'No set expiry but it won't be is ongoing'.

      • Seems like it's back to $10 now after I signed up but yhd offer is still not marked as expired

  • I just used the android app - should register my shopback.
will wait and see. thanks op

  • I like the pricing of Catch over kogan movile yearly plans, but hate how you have full data on day 1. Wish it was monthly.
Looking for another sale on Kogan mobile.

    • +1

Somebody can’t budget XD it’s sooo much better to have it at the start. Just cap it on ur phone or use less.

  • Does anyone knows if Catch Connect requires the minimum 30 days of non Catch Connect service period (like Kogan mobile) for previous Catch Connect customers to return as new customers? Would I be able to port out my existing Catch Connect number to another mobile service provider, port back to Catch Connect (all within few days) and considered as new customer to qualify for the $12 cashback?

    • -1

      So much pain for $12…

    • +1

I am fairly certain that this can be done. Kogan are the only mobile company that I am aware of that imposes the 30 day restriction. You should search Ozbargain for the answer as I am sure I read it here previously.

      • Thanks. I remember reading this before. But just couldn't locate the thread and that's why I ask.

  • I don't have a catch connect account and I cannot use my catch.com.au account. I tried to sign up to catch connect but it charges me $9 for delivery. How may I sign up without paying for delivery?

    • +1

Make sure not to select express shipping or it will charge $9.

      • That's it. Thanks OP.

    • +1

Is the $9 charge for express post?

  • I will buy this to change from Kogan to Catch… if good, I will continue with Catch :)

  • What date does the sim expire?

    • +1

You have to activate the sim within 30 days of purchase.

      • Just saw this, but thank you

    • +1

Must activate sim within 30 days of purchase as in OP. However, I know that they do give some grace period as in my case when I could not activate it within 30 days since I was overseas.

  • I bought one with my Shop Back account. Can I buy one more using the offer?

  • nice

  • How strictly is this policy followed? - "Must activate sim within 30 days of purchase"
SIM will take different days to reach everyone.

    • SIM's usually arrive within a week or less. Have never heard it taking more than 2 weeks, let alone 4.

  • Won't take my credit card details - already tried several cards…can anyone help? I'm using chrome, but also tried on mobile app.

  • Is the provider Optus or Vodafone?

    • Sorry!!! Found it, it is Optus!

      • Just did EXACTLY as instructed, pretty easy & card accepted okay but my account shows NO cashback (yet) will this ultimately appear at a later date or is it lost. There was no PROMO code as suggested?

        • All good so thumbs up for the offer. I just received an email regarding the $15 cash back. I should be more patient.

  • Still available?

    • Yes, still available.

  • +1

I bought it last night at 12:00am, but the cashback is showing $10 only? Shouldn't it be $12?

    • +3

You actually missed the offer by a minute. I'm happy to apply a once off $2 to your account - could you PM me your SB registered email address? I'll get that sorted for you on Monday.

      • Fell asleep last night and buying now - any chance that I can get this too?

        • +1

Sorry frixlui, would love to but this means I'd have to say yes to every request from someone who placed an order today, and the intention wasn't to do $12 today.

I've left this offer open as a grace period to those who placed an order just shortly after midnight only.

      • Thanks Rep! PM sent.

      • Hi, deal not shown expired, but $10 CB shown on the SB website. I didn't get around to buying yesterday; is it still on or can you do a one-off credit? Many thanks.

        • $12 ended 11.59pm AEST last night and we're now back to $10. As we didn't submit this deal ourselves, we can't expire it ourselves.

I'd love to do a once off credit but unfortunately can't, otherwise we'd have to say yes to everyone who placed an order today.

          • +3

@gotyourback: No need to do an one off credit. Just increase the cashback to $12 just for one day.:)

          • @gotyourback: i can't find any mention of the $10 cashback on the site any more

            • @tdw: This was never promoted anywhere onsite other than the store page itself. Other than that it's still there:

              • 90 Day Plan (8GB/35GB/54GB/102GB) $10.00
              • +1

@gotyourback: okay, my mistake; i was looking at the deals/coupons section

              • @gotyourback: gotyourback
Hi Rep, do we still have the $10.00 cashback if we pay using Catch gift card?

                • @F1ngolf: This sounds like you're intending to buy a plan on Catch.com.au - you would not earn cashback paying with gift cards nor would you get $10 cashback. Assuming you're using a credit/debit card to pay, you get cashback based on the rates for Catch.com.au, not catchconnect.com.au.

          • +1

@gotyourback: Its down to $5 now. Any chances of bumping this up again? I'm looking to buy one, but want at least $10 Cashback.

  • +5

It would be nice if you guys put the deadline :). Miss this deal by an hour :(

  • +5

True, Shopback needs to mention Expiry Date. Many of us have existing plans, so would like to wait and then buy.

  • Hi Rep - I didn't seem to get any cashback for this. I turned off all the regular pop-up/ad blockers, and still nothing showing in my ShopBack account.

Can I please PM you with my details?
