  • New customer for catch and shopback? Or we can take the cashback if we ever get it prior with shopback

    • +3

You only have to be a new Catch customer.

      • Cheers

        • No worries haha

  • +1

    When the promotion expire?

    • Not too sure about that haha sorry.

  • New customer= New email?

    • Not sure, they might also check cards so maybe use a different payment method to be safe?

  • How do you cancel auto renewal? Online or have to call them?

    • +1

Normally you'd need to activate the sim first then go on your online account to cancel it

  • +2

No internet for weeks/months because of unqualified NBN installation, that type of deal is godsend for data hungry people like myself

  • Whos fault was the unqualified installation?

I have no land-line internet for the last 6 months and I make do with 200gb 4g optus with terrible signal where I live.

  • +3

Used a new email and bam, instant tracking. Definitely loving this more than the issues everyone had with Amaysim/CashReward.

    • Yep, quick and easy :)

  • +2

    $9-$4.9=$4.1

    nice $5 profit

  • so a new email is definitely required? I bought with an old account that did not have any active sims…should not have done that?

    • I created a new account with a new email and it tracked so I'm not sure if old accounts work, imo if you haven't bought anything then it should work.

  • +1

nice $5 profit, you need to activate it within 30 days of purchase.

Does anyone know of the reliability/trustworthiness of them actually paying out on cashback once you activate ?
How does their system know that you have activated (so they can then issue the cahsback owed to us) .

My recent experience getting ripped off by 'cashrewards' so I am now quite wary of this 'cashback offers' . I'm a new/novice user to cash rewards, and have just been told they refuse to honour cashback I am owed just because I didn't file some special claim etc until after 60 days.
I know they probably cover their ars with terms and conditions (which nobody reads) . But I'm left cautious of these 'cashback' things after cash rewards ripped me off and support refused to pay what they owe me.

    • This cashback is from ShopBack, a different company and I haven't actually activated anything yet so I would hope that they pay haha. Anyways, with how many people give praise to these offers I assumed that they're legitimate.

Better off just buying the $4.90 (sometimes 0.99) 40gb data Sims from Kogan.
I have a few Sims on hand and they send the voucher codes quite quickly.
Churn through Sim cards, but the there's no issue with cash back or waiting

      • If you want a 365 day plan Optus have one with 60gb for $120, (5gb and $10 a month), unlimited T&T

    • +1

You know what, better off just forget cashback options. There has been people who has not been happy with shopback as well. (with their purchases not being tracked)

Don't follow their instructions, buy something expensive, wait 60 days and you will likely not have your cashback tracked and noone will be able to help you.

        You're just rambling now :/

funny, kettle calling the pot black

  • I was with Catch two months ago, do I qualify as a new customer?

    • No, you'll have to register with a new email.

      • Thanks Juice

        • No worries :)

  • Cashback is having $10 I believe. Extra profit?

    • Yep just saw that haha, I'll just keep this up for people who want to use ShopBack instead though.

    • +1

      $12 😉

      • What about if I got in on this when it was $9? It already tracked, do I lose out now for getting in early?

        • +1

          Hi CodeXD,

Those who jumped in early would get $12 too :)

Due to caching you won't see the new cashback amount in your account right away, so do give it some time.

      • Ah damn haha, is there any way I can get an extra $3 for posting? ;)

        • +2

Everyone who bought at $9 cashback will get $12, changes are flowing through :)

  • How do they differentiate new customers? Do you need to just have a new email or do you also need a new payment method?

    • +1

      Hi Zazer,

New Customers are differentiated by Catch Connect accounts (so different email addresses).

  • Do you think we can claim from both shopback and cashrewards?

    • Hi roshanrbb,

No issues there although there's no limit for the amount of Catch Connect cashback transactions per ShopBack account. But Catch Connect will make the call in the end on whether to approve everything or not.

    • -1

Don't see any reason you are not able to enjoy cashback from CR and SB as long as Catch Connect accepts you as NEW customers.

      • Let's hope catch connect does the right thing

  • What's the minimum redemption in ShopBack?

    • Hi peuwayaqdq, $10.

  • +1

    Noice.
@gotyourback when does the promo end?

  • When it says new customer/services only, does it mean I can't transfer my number from vodafone to this deal?

    • +1

No, it just means accounts that have previously bought mobile deals from Catchconnect can't get the cashback.

  • "Our website is undergoing maintenance"

    • Damn it probably died from the amount of people flocking to it haha

  • Catch: Our website is undergoing maintenance

  • When do we have to activate by?

    • Never mind

  • Wonderful! Purchase tracked within 20min.

  • Nice. Got 1.

  • Does anyone know when this promotion will end?

  • I'm with currently with Catch Connect, my 90 day promo is running out tomorrow. If I port out to $2 Telstra and port back to CC, create a new account with a new email, will I be able to use the offer? Did anybody try to do it? Or do they have something similar to Kogan in place where you cannot port back in for 30 days? Thank you.

    • I think the main issue is that your new SIM won't arrive in time. It will take a couple of working days at least, so will arrive after weekend

      • That's not an issue. The services has to be activated in 30 days to get the cashback.

    • I would also like to know the answer to this question, how does trying to port in a number thats been with them before factor into being a "new customer"? Confirmation of a time frame where you cant port back in would be very useful to know

  • Anybody getting stuck on "Processing" during payment? Tried it twice times on IE and no go.

    Edit: Third time lucky!

  • Thank you OP, I bought one! Signed up to ShopBack and happy that my purchase is tracked!
    Now the wait begins…

  • Thanks

  • 1x 30 day $12 Cashback and 1x 90 day $12 Cashback per Shopback account? Or either one only?

    • @gotyourback help?

    • +1

      Hi andylch,

Not sure where you got that from but we aren't imposing any limits as such, so if you need to order multiple plans go for it (note: new Catch Connect customers only, each plan must be with a new Catch Connect account).

      • Thanks a lot.
I bought 1x 90 day with $12 Cashback already, most likely will go to another 1x 90 day.
