That's silly, they'll need to now spend more on marketing…

There are many private store groups that operate under the Independent Grocers Association (IGA). Drakes was one.
The majority of Drakes Supermarkets originally operated under Metcash's Foodland, IGA or Supa IGA brands. Other stores operated as Timesavers. From November 2017, Drake's Queensland Supa IGA stores were rebranded as Drakes.
We still have Foodland supermarkets with separate offers - even though Woolies bought them years ago.
We have both Drakes and IGA in my area Southside Brisbane. IGA are more like the Corner store and Drakes the supermarket.
