We own a Dyson Ball Barrel (older) model and the suction is on another level to the hand-held battery powered models.
Always has full power, never worry about running out of vacuuming time.
Reliable, no issues as long as the filter and bin are cleaned properly.
How does this compare to the Miele ?
I read lots of comments from OZBargainers and they say that Miele is more powerful and cheaper. However, when I take my wife to Miele she simply says that Dyson looks better and she wants Dyson. :)
Yes, Dyson may look better, but heaps of comments say they don't suck all that well compared to the Miele - which is a workhorse and gets the job done.
Never owned / used a Miele to compare them side by side.
But I would use the term ‘workhorse’ to describe the Dyson also.
One thing I can say about the Dyson, is the bin and filter are well designed, so they are very easy to remove / separate and wash (the bin part is all one piece and washable so easy and stress-free).
It doesn't. One is bagged and the other isn't. People generally prefer one or the other.
