If you think about it 1 tank of fuel costs more than most oil and that stays in the car for 10,000km's+. Why do people cheap ass on oil? Doesn't make sense.
Because budgets fill up quickly the more you spend on stuff?
I can't imagine why people like paying less for stuff.
Guys and Gals, engine oil is not a magical mix of 12 secret herbs and spices, it's just a lubricant.
As long as it meets or exceeds the engine manufacturer's API specifications, it should do just fine.
More importantly having regular oil and filter changes are infinitely more important than whether its contents are synthetic and or mineral based. Thanks I'll start filling my car with my lawn mower oil then should be be just as good. Cheers brother
If it meets your engine's API requirements, then go for it.
"More importantly having regular oil and filter changes are infinitely more important than whether its contents are synthetic and or mineral based."
lol. Except that engine manufacturers are usually quite specific about whether your all is synthetic or mineral based?
Thanks OP.

Any deals on 5w-30?
Been using this in the lawn mower for a while, works great
Just about anything will work well in a mower, including bacon grease.
Canola it is
Would this be on par with Magnatec or is it inferior?
The $5 cooper oil filters are worth mentioning. If your car takes the 15w40, $18 makes for a very cheap oil change!
Good point. Cheers.
$5 filters? At Bunnings or somewhere else? Link?
Blended with synthetic lubricants and premium base stocks to meet API SN/CF.
