Tennis Hybrid Restringing Special Only $20 at OneTennis in Sydney (35% off RRP)

70

Its their "String of the Month" special. This place is really cheap.. The deal is for a hybrid combination string for $20. The price includes labour for stringing the racquet. Cheaper restringing than anywhere else I've seen ($15 labour if you byo tennis strings).

The strings on special are Signum Pro Titan Flex & Forten Competition. I'm booking to get mine done next week to try these ones out. I've been to this guys place for my last set of strings, he does a good job.

They service the Homebush area in Sydney, and they do delivery in the local area. Any further though and you'll have to drop your racquet off, but you can save a bit if you do. I booked ahead and he got mine done in 45min while I waited.

Enjoy!

Am I missing something? Unless he's a rep pretending to be a customer I can't see any breaches here.

aside from what appears to be sockpuppeting, your post makes absolutely no sense

Hi alebox… You might need to be a Tennis player to understand. Sorry I didn't make it clearer.. it's my first post.

Prices seem reasonable, very limited string selection though.

Also, no idea what stringing machines are being used - the store I go to uses Precision 700s.

He isn't sockpuppeting this is a good price for tennis strings ands restringing compared to other places for $50

  • Hi billbro, I don't know what machine they use either, you would need to contact them.

Thanks Slide, completely agree. I just saw their new deal and thought of posting here since i thought it was a good one. I don't know too much about these particular strings but they sound alright and I've not tried the hybrid before.

  • Good price for a restring, not sure why anyone would care about the machine being used, tension applied would be exactly the same without damage to the racquet - am I missing something?

    • It shouldn't matter too much, but I personally would like to know - as it seems almost like a stringing service someone is running out of their house.

I'd rather pay an extra $5 to know that the tension is accurate and they aren't adding extra stress to the racquet with cheap clamps, etc.

It is just something to keep in mind, e.g. other places charge like $5-10 more but they can have nicer equipment, staff who are MRT certified, etc.

  • I would only see this as a useful bargain if you were looking to try a different stringer or experiment with strings. For the majority of players a combined change of both is well need i say - insane..

    • Decent players break strings pretty regularly

  • Average string I would say~~~If I rate it out of 10, this hybrid would be probably in be a 4…XD
Sorry…but there are better hybrid out there I think.

BUT for $20 bucks…..geees, u can't go wrong to get it done which include labour.
I charge $20 for just the labour …..but I guess he might be doing it just for leisure and out of his free time to make extra buck.

As for machine….i would say as long as it's using a 6-point fixture….it's fine!!
if only 2…there is slight chance the racquet would go out of shape a bit!….

Give it a go if you live close by~~ and can wait and see how he does it!
$20…wont hurt at all~~ the string itself might cost about $10 already.

  • By the way 45 min for a racquet is not quick. It takes me Max 20 for each.so I am guessing he is not very pro at it yet. More practice to go.
