It’s a good price for the latest model, and the upgrades seem good. I’ve got a Mavic Air and am tossing up between a Pro 2 or a Phantom 4 Pro. There’s a huge price difference there too. But the 1 inch sensor is a huge upgrade
Yea. Mavic 2 is a big improvement for photos
I got my P3 for $550 and its going strong!! Unless you love arial footage… I dont see this going in my shopping basket anytime soon.
Just for reference was $2k from kogan aus stock about 2 months ago.
Also was $2000 with recent Bing Lee deal. I got my zoom for $1600. Better drone if photography isn't the main purpose.
What's the advantage of the zoom? I'm only getting a drone for photography (raw photos) purposes.
Still have my Phantom 3 Advanced, all these newer and more compact Mavic are interesting, but with so many new rules and restrictions on flying a drone now a day, as well as the proposed registration for any drone over 250g later this year, it's not worth for me to buy a new drone anymore.
Any particular reason you’re against registration? It’s supposed to be around $20 annually and hopefully will deter folks from doing the wrong thing.
Actually I am not against registration. The only annoying thing will be having to register two DJI drones if I buy another new one, instead of just register my current DJI 3.

I've got a Mavic 1 which I paid $800 for, $2200 seems a hell of a stretch.
