This Sony is an IPS screen - which has atrocious black levels and contrast (but better viewing angles). So no, they're not the same.
Exactly. Hisense use VA panels so much better contrast and brightness, which means around 5X better black levels. Sony X9000F uses a VA panel so that is the one to get if you want Sony (much more expensive but one of the best LED TVs). X8500F will have fractionally better colours and much better motion. Overall picture quality is definitely better with Hisense though.
Isn't the hisense oled only a little bit more?
I worry about screen burn. My 2 year Old Samsung Note 8 has screen burn along the top status bar so don't have confidence an OLED TV will last me 5 years + without screen burn being an issue.
I have this TV and it is a great picture. Netflix 4k content looks amazing. Love how android so can install apps like Kodi and watched media from any networked device.
I bought this exact tv from good guys 8 days ago for $1295 (my then current TV died, had to get a new one ASAP). Is there anything I can do about this change in price? Consumer protection or something?
@russticles Yes I’d do it today, tgg has 30day price guarantee & will give back 120% of the difference, won’t be able to claim the eBay price of $985 but will be able to claim against the advertised price of $1095 at HN , should get back around $240 store credit, also check your credit card if you have price protection can claim that to, if not get yourself a 28degrees cc for future purchases
