Add it to the cart, then add the shifter to the cart. View cart after adding both and the G29/G920 shows as $120 and shifter $79.

  • Thanks, I have been waiting for a use or a deal on the Thrustmaster T300 for months to replace the Driving Force GT I picked up for $40 but this will do for now.

    Hi all,

Please see below link for compatible games:

I just picked mine up from Albert St Brisbane, there was about 6 behind the counter and they had just worked out that it had been posted on ozbargain

    • oh no, they found out they're being ozbargained

    • +1

I just picked mine up there - someone else picked up a PS4 one just ahead of me, perhaps that was you :-)

I thought the staff were handling the situation pretty well, and received a few of what seemed like knowing smiles as I was on my way out, prize in hand. But I thought it was best to get in and out before a decision could be made such as dishonoring further orders!

      Thanks OP!

      • nah I was xbox, all the ones I saw were xbox as well

  • +1

Thanks OP. Have no racing games or desire to really get any, but can’t say no to a bargain…

  • Bought one, thanks op!

  • +1

Thanks OP - Been trying to get a bargain second hand one from Gumtree for a while now and $200 has been the cheapest I've seen for this set :D

This is orbargain at its best!

  • THIS IS INSANE!!!
Alwasys want to use this badass to play Horizon 4, You are a legend!

    • Same, should be great!

      Thanks OP!

  • +5

OK guys. I’ll buy a beer for someone who can find a great OzBargain style price for a seat/harness to use these with!

    • Build your own wooden one.. basic woodworking skills and tools (i made one)

        • And of the chair, too!

I built it for sitting on my couch, and it collapses for storage.

The larger bits of wood are upcycled from my old entertainment unit! I think it cost me about $30 total.

I'm thinking of carpeting the base because the polish is gradually peeling.

          • @King Steuart: How high does this stand once "flat packed?" Just curious to know if it would sit under my couch (with the wheel and shifter packed away separately obviously).

            • +1

@db87: It depends on how well you build it. I based it off of this video, but mine doesn't collapse quite as nicely as his.

              https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rs3nzLMpmyA

I don't remove the wheel and pedals though, it fits nicely in my kmart hallstand style furniture I use as a controller charging station which kinda looks like this:

              https://www.catch.com.au/product/artiss-hall-console-table-e…

My pedals are actually screwed on to the base board, so there's no movement at all, and the cable wraps up the leg permanently.

              • +1

@King Steuart: Cheers. It definitely looks like a simple enough design I think I could add my own touch to.

I'm all for making something over paying exorbitant amounts for the basic frames you see available.

                πŸ‘

  • Couldn't find any stock in Sydney so got it delivered. Have had the g27 for years and it's great but the brake pedal occasionally gets slightly stuck down. Cheers op great deal.

  • No longer available to pick up except regional areas.

  • Ordered, will likely be used twice a year like the last wheel I had, but still worth it!

  • +20

I want it so much, but need it so little.

  • +1

Still playing with the 360 wheel on Dirt 2 XD

  • No available stock for C&C so I choose delivery.
When check out it says: Sorry, an error has occurred while processing your order. Please try again later.

    Any idea??? Anyone help…

    • +2

I feel like they've probably found out by now and are canning it.

    • +1

Had the same error but use PayPal and it'll go through

      • Thanks for replying, it turns out that I tried to use my AMEX credit card to pay…
Oh man I was so afraid to miss this offer and made a mistake.
        Finally I purchased it with 199 + 14.9 delivery.

        Hope to get it soon!!
(Though I don't have any racing game nor PS4 now, but I will get one soon lol)

  • +2

Can anyone recommend a good racing sim seat to mount this wheel in and also sit? Ive had these wheels in the past but without a good setup i havent enjoyed them fully.

  • It took a few goes to get through, but finally checked out.

I think it allocates stock from stores and then when you click through it removes it from inventory which means it drops it from the system and you have to go through again.

  • Not sure how I'm going to explain to my partner why I had to buy this… Somehow name dropping "ozbargain" isn't going to help my cause. Haha

    • you want to improve your driving skills in a controlled environment to protect your partner?

  • thx OP
order place at 2:20 for delivery, will they still honour it if was a glitch?

    • +2

I hope so, I purchased a non-refundable gift card through work to save an extra 5%

    • Damn that means they are cancelling all del orders. Mine still say in progress.

    • Hmm wonder if there are going to be some mass cancellation emails coming…

  • Better go pick it up before they change their mind.

Still not sure why I bought it!

    • why i cant get it πŸ˜‚

  • Couldn't go through the payment for the first time, successful with 2nd go. Even though have to pay for 11 bucks of postage, still a good bargain! Thanks OP!

  • +4

Order cancelled in store. Good luck to anybody that gets/got theres. I was 1 foot out the door, processed order and all and some bossy manager came and cancelled their orders on the spot and wouldn't let me leave with it. πŸ‘Ž

    • +10

He'd have to pry it out of my dead hands, you paid for it, they accepted your money, the goods had exchanged hands, too bad Mr manager,

      • +6

That was my argument. Drove all the way there for nothing. Didn't want a bar of it, no explanation, no honour of price or even anything close to it, no reason, nothing. πŸ‘Ž Jb.

        • +10

If he takes it out of your hands that's theft. So simply don't surrender it and keep walking. If he touches you that's assault

    • wow,

i picked mine up no issue, they knew it was an error since the lady was already going on about how someone at head office made a big mistakI

    • can they do that when the transavtions all done and all.

      • If anyone associated cares to chime in, I'd happily go back, haven't left the centre yet.

        • I dont work for JB but no theyre not allowed to do that. Youve already paid for the item, price error or not. Too late for them once you are out the door.

        • I'm not exactly in any major position of power, but that's definitely quite suspect. It's one thing to stop any further sales happening due to a price error but the fact that someone already not only bought it, but also received their paid-for goods, I'm quite surprised to hear such conduct from that manager and do genuinely apologise for his actions.

I'd definitely contact the store and explain the ordeal as that's definitely not something I'd condone. May I ask what store this was in?

          • @Shekster: Thanks for the reply shekstar, it was Forest Hill, Victoria. A lady (manager or not - she wasn't floor staff) wouldn't let me leave with it. I called the store back and was out onto a David who I was told was the manager. 3 calls later, still no deal.

If you reahapoened to have seen any of my other comments, had I not been in a sling from my recent shoulder operation - they offered to bag it to make it easier to carry so I helped them stretch out a bag to put it in - I would have well and truly been out the door.

            • @db87: Can't really play anyway if your shoulder buggered

    • +7

      Whoa. After you'd paid?

I'd be filing a complain with JB Hi-Fi. Offer, Acceptance and Consideration.

      • +4

Yep even got the confirmation email saying it was processed as collected.

        • +9

Then I wouldn't be surprised if he's broken the law.

Good luck with it if you decide to pursue it. If it were me, out of principle I'd be starting with JB Hi-Fi complaints Dept, and moving onto Fair Trading Dept if I got no love via the original avenue.

        • +1

Yes definitely pursue it. Managers dont have that much power. No way theyre allowed to do that.

        • +1

I would look into this. The transaction is complete when goods and money have exchanged hands. Prior to that they can cancel and do whatever… Further to that they've made you look loek an idiot when it's their HO that buggered up.

          • @ExtraSalt: I've accepted it was an error but I do feel I was very poorly treated.

    • +1

Pretty sure they cant do that. Should have just walked out. You paid for it.

    • +3

Poor form by the manager. Hope you take the time to report the manager and JB honour the transaction. Good luck dB!

    • I'm pretty sure that's false imprisonment (not letting you leave the store after the transaction was complete)

      • The manager didn't seem too concerned. I gave them a few stern words and I'm normally a bit of a fighter but this just wasn't worth the effort. Funny thing is, I'm in a sling from a shoulder op and I was helping THEM bag it up to make it easier to carry. Otherwise I was well and truly gone. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

        • +1

You can't let this one go.
You need to pursue this. Ozbargain stands with you ✊

          • @Spun: Very tempted to at the least write up an email, but even then I can barely be bothered. I was more annoyed at the effort I went to, to actually get to the store. Had I not needed the bag or the transport to get there, I well and truly would have been amongst the others that were successful.

            Maybe a sign. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

            • @db87: I'd still do it, if for no other reason than to give this retail management power tripper a reality check.

Decent businesses don't treat paying customers like that, and he shouldn't get away with it without at least a reprimand.

              • +3

@Spun: A few stern words have been emailed to their complaints department. After sleeping on it, I'm actually further annoyed today after thinking about how I was treated. Had I not been in the sling, as others have said, I wouldnt have handed it back. A bit disgusted by the way I was treated to be honest.

The lack of an item, price error, whatever, all aside I'm actually a bit embarrassed for them with the way it was handled.

I'm left now with a completed purchased, full invoice against my account, no cancellation advice and/or no follow-up email.

Seeing orders still processed even a day later is making me feel even more the fool.

                • @db87: Update us on what happens!

                  • +2

                    @Circly: In short…

                    Honoured.

The manager I had been dealing with over the phone was much more apologetic than the cold and shortly-spoken lady I had to deal with in-store.

See my most recent post (page 5) for other updates, I dare say they (jb) may have changed their tune. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

    • +2

      No way!!
Order exchanged hands and delivered is yours!!!
This is theft! A delivered order cannot be cancelled.

    • +3

Reading this makes my blood boil and am angry on your behalf. Absolutely bollocks mate.

    • I'd love to know the result of this. hope it all works itself out for you. Definately send them an email, and i reckon you are a fair chance…technically you were bullied into returning the goods after the sale was complete…Their HO is stil at chaddy but for not much longer..see how you go! my cousin just picked up his order from the Chaddy store not an hour ago

      • See above and page 5. πŸ‘

  • Snagged one just now, after a couple of attempts. Although I'm 99% certain I ordered the correct one for the Xbox (G920), my order confirmation shows a G29 (PS4) model; anyone else get that?

    • I can swap my g920 with you if you are in Melbourne CBD

  • Stores are ringing and cancelling orders :(

  • +1

The one hour I don't check Ozbargain… Of course, I miss out on a deal for the one thing I've been wanting to buy for ages…

$199 for both is crazy, way below the staff price for this.

Although considering it's a glitch I wonder if I'd have even been allowed to take advantage of it?

Edit: Just been told it was an error so they are cancelling orders. Good luck to people already on their way to C&C, you never know, there's always a chance.

    • +3

What about people that purchased a non-refundable Giftcard to purchase this? Will we be stuck with a useless GC (until another deal comes along?)

  • To anyone who had their click collect cancelled did the store do it or head office?

  • Got a call from jb, they are cancelling my click and collect.. was ready for pickup hours ago also

    • -1

I thought they cannot cancel the order since the payment has gone through to them and the status of the order is ready for pickup. Will they lose if you bring this to ACCC?

      • I think ACCC is happy for any retailers to use pricing errors as excuses to get away with it but good luck
