Very good price, the best I have ever seen. However the product itself is trash.

      Do you own one?

    • How so?

All gaming headsets sound trash. Especially the wireless ones.

    • I haven't tried the Arctis headphones, but I've got to comment that the SteelSeries products have poor build quality in my experience.
I had the SteelSeries H wireless a few years back (their top of the line headphones, cost $500+) which broke down within the 2 year warranty period, left side of the headphones stopped working. I did a RMA for it back to SteelSeries and in return received store credit for what it was worth, I then used it to buy a few mousepads and 2x Siberia 650. I am a very light headphone user (probably 2 hours a week in usage), and was surprised when the 650 broke down within a year; same problem left side of the headphone stopped working. I couldn't RMA the 650 because store credit bought products didn't have 1 year warranty. During this time I also bought a SteelSeries Rival 700 which had intermittent connection issues within warranty which I had to return to the seller.

One other problem I had with the wireless H and Siberia 650 I had was that the mic was terrible, no one could hear what I was saying unless I was almost shouting.

Pretty disappointed with the build quality of SteelSeries products I must say or maybe it's my luck with SteelSeries products, considering their premium they charge. Hopefully, the build quality is better now, but I wouldn't be buying any of their products again.

No its not a 'very good price'

      Regular arctis 5's cost $120

How do you justify a $100 increase for the wireless feature.

While the Arctis 5's i own are great as far as 'gaming' headsets go, the headband elastic has lost all its strength within a year and ive since sitched the headband to be shorter.

  • I just got the Arctis 7's a few days ago for $194. They are a very good wireless headset. If I waited till now I would've bought these instead at this price.

  • I have the Siberia 800s.

    How much better are they?
Wouldn’t mind a second headset so I don’t have to keep unplugging from my ps4/Xbox/pc

    • Well obviously this is the wired variant. The headset itself is very good, I have the Wireless Pro variant, but not a big leap over the Wireless H (which was rebranded as the 800s) which I had beforehand.

Having said that, being wired with a decent DAC it could certainly elevate the sound.

You obviously need a special DAC for games, the one in the motherboard that sounds identical isn't enough for gaming!

  • Heads up, does not come with DAC. Mine just arrived. No DAC.

Contact Amazon. It's clearly advertised as including the DAC, it's in the title and in the description.

      • Yep, have done. now having to ship the item back and re-order. price has gone up a whole 2 cents.

  • Second re-order of this came through. Still no GameDAC. Whilst the title in the link says SteelSeries Arctis Pro + GameDAC Gaming Headset - Black, if you look at the 'style' further down the page, and the related images of the product, this is just the Arctis Pro headset without GameDAC. Buyer beware.
FYI, received a full refund for this purchase without needing to return.
