oooh the second picture u can use it as a ninja star! … BOOM multi tasking

    • Looks like fake reviews with repeated names… how could I trust a site like that?

  • For a second I thought it ran on AA batteries. Was getting ready to buy more eneloops…

    • just buy them anyway

Thumbs up for trying to do something interesting with PC design.

Not so much for the specs.

What else would you need for a htpc?

      • +8

        You mean for gaming dominance.

      • Native HDMI 2.0 output, for one.

        • hdmi 2 is only needed for 4K 60Hz, which you want on a desktop PC.

But for HTPC, you use 4K @ 24Hz or 30Hz, depending on the source.

          5G WiFi: Yes
          Bluetooth: Bluetooth4.0
          Power Supply: Charge Adapter
          Interface: 3.5mm Audio,DC 12V,HDMI,RJ45,USB3.0
          Certificate: CE,FCC,PSE,RoHs
          HDMI Version: 2.0
          Other Functions: 3D Video,DLNA,NTSC
          External Subtitle Supported: No
          HDMI Function: HDCP
          Power Consumption.: 15W
          RJ45 Port Speed: 1000M

          • @KLoNe: It says that in the specs, sure, but the chipsets in this device are not capable of native output.

Isn't HDMI 2a required for HDR, and not just 4K higher than 30Hz?

    From a review…

“Triangles are more stable, so you don't need to worry about placement”

    Well that’s got me sold.

    • +6

Triangles are two dimensional, so you don't need to worry about them taking up volume.

      • +1

Triangles are triangular so you can triangulate your triangles.

    It is cute

I've got a Acer Spin 1 with the N4200, 4gig, 128gig HD and I can tell you right now, open more than 3 tabs and it starts to crawl. Even some heavy websites by themselves are a pain most times.
Shame, as I really do like the design OP posted.

    • OP's box has 8GB of ram, which should make a HUGE difference in multitasking performance. The Processor in this thing is quite, however.

    • i got celery 847 ulv 1.1ghz dualcore + 4gb ram + 240gb ssd

and over 30 tabs , smooth ass

shit that's actually really cute imo. wish there were amd ryzen options, those would pack a huge punch.

The N3XX processors aren't as good as what comes in a decent phone now. You can't really compare them to ryzens in any way, that's like saying that you wish the new Galaxy S10 had an i5 in it.

      • An n3450 scores 1850 on cpu benchmark list. It beats the crap out of any phone still. It's what's on some chrome books, and a lot of synology Nas storage stuff that aim for performance.

It's not great sure. Especially a windows 10 system. But it's a good deal overall (8 gig of ram helps it a lot)

      • that's like saying that you wish the new Galaxy S10 had an i5 in it.

        For $1200~ AUD, I do.

  • I mean, it's got a shit processor sure, but if future computers are as cute as this, I'm willing to get one; but of course given that the quality will improve lol.

  • i'd trust this PC more if it were a trapezoid

    • Maaate, everyone knows that a trapezoid's eyes are too close together. For trustworthiness you cannea beat an acute scalene triangular prism. Mark my words, and watch the future unfold thus.

    • Its a trap!

Anyone else reminded of The Office?

    • saabray!

  • I wonder if it will have the crypto mining in it?

    https://www.acuteangle.com/

They've also released a version where the PC is inside the keyboard 😉

  • Looks nice. Pretty useless for me, outside of my gaming dominance needs. If they could shove an i5 in it, I would mind using it….

Actually nevermind. Only reason I would want a desktop computer is for gaming. Everything else is laptop territory

  • Maybe good little device to make it dual boot? Android X86 + Windows?

  • You know, I don't mind this. Take the guts of a laptop which has been crippled. Remove the battery, make use of the nice size. Add some nice ram to smooth things out. Nice.

  • That's actually a pretty cool design. Sure the specs leave a lot to be desired but at least the ram and ssd mean it's not completely woeful. +1 for trying something different

  • +1

for people that just want better than a phone experience when at home and use the internet, and use mainly a browser or cloud based app.

use it to do your net banking, check emails, online shopping and maybe watch netflix ……better experience than using phone when at home and you can attach a TV or monitor and keyboard.

attach an external drive and you even backup your phone …….

these things aren’t designed to compete with an i5 laptop or tower or nuc ….they only use 15w power ….
