    Perfect because I didn’t need 10 anyways

I'm angry. This is too generous. Where's my 3% off code?!

      • Tread carefully people, I'm starting to think this is a joke since ebay never have minimum spend below $120 ;)

  • So not sitewide? Just on selected items?

    • +2

I knew it was too good to be true.

    $50/0.07 = $714ish if anyone was wondering

  • Curious, are items sold by international sellers that appear when searching on Ebay.com.au ever eligible for these deals?

    • +1

International sellers are fine per se but I think the item has to be natively listed on .com.au rather than listed on another site with a shipping option extended to au. If the dollar amount is “approx AUD” you’re out of luck. I don’t think any au based promos have included “worldwide” items.

      • I agree it's likely that ebay.com.au isn't hunting for international sellers to apply the coupon too. This is the first time I've seen a "Eligible Items" requirement for a code like this.

Previously all items (worldwide and postable to AU) have been eligible for sitewide coupons, except that you can't have a single transaction in multiple currencies (which means it's harder to meet the minimum spend).

I know I've bought stuff with sitewide coupons from international sellers on ebay.co.uk using eBay's global shipping program (maybe 18 months ago).

        • Are you sure? I think the current 3% and last two 10% codes were for eligible items only…

    • Yes a few weeks ago I brought an item worth $500USD form a US based seller who doesn't even sell to Australia, shipped to a forwarding service in Portland, and I used 10% code, all done over ebay.com.au I did I twice.

  • I have $80 worth in my cart and I’m being told I don’t meet spend requirements when I put the code in?

    • Probably some of your items are not eligible :)

      • +14

More likely that none of the items are eligible =)

Can understand why it's selected item now. I mean, there are so many private seller selling on ebay for free now since there's free listing every weekends. Can't expect ebay to make 6% loss right?

Time to land the final blow Amazon

    • Flawless Victory… I mean PERFECT

    • +2

If we're talking Amazon, I think you mean final missed opportunity.

These discount code’s T&C are getting more and more interesting, finding the eligible items are like hide&seek now.. good on ya ebay, keep the hard work.

  • FYI, this code does not work on an EBay auction item that I just won ($700).

  • +1

Perfect for ebay, not for us.

    • Perfect for me. I needed a dip belt and the code was on display for the item. Saved $6.30 without doing any searching at all <3

    SPAM?

  • +7

eBay obviously has a different interpretation of the word PERFECT than what I do..

  • +2

This is EBay's strategy to generate more traffic, from people searching all over for items that qualify for the codes. They might end up buying some random items they come across but were not looking for at first.

    • +2

      Why would you bother?

      • It's not that way. Almost everyone on ebay now is pro bargain hunter, they will not fall in that trap

  • +4

So… is 'eligible items' as limited in range as trying to find a "plus" item that isn't free postage anyway?

  • +8

10 items in my cart from 8 different sellers totalling $700. Tried the code expecting a mix of some which would and wouldn't be eligible, got the "This code can't be applied to your order" error and a discount of $0.00. None of them were eligible items.

Just ordered the three biggest items from Amazon instead for less after cashback. I don't think I'll even waste my time checking on Ebay anymore. Their time has past…

  • Is there a search that can filter just the items that are included in this "sale"?

  • I used this code successfully at computer alliance on a case

  • Thanks OP, worked on an auction i won this afternoon.

  • Pretty lame. They removed all the 5% off coupons and replaced them with these coupons that do not apply to majority of items.

  • +2

None of my items will work. Switching to Amazon

  • These work on hardly any items. No deal

  • Was expecting it not to work, tried it anyway, got 6.6% off total.
So it worked for nearly everything in my cart.
Not switching to Amazon yet :P
