    I'm not sure how many cafes will like you setting up a stand on their tables. It would look like you are settling in for a few hours.

      Yeah, these aren't really for when you're out of the office, you'd still want a separate keyboard and mouse. These do a good job of raising a laptop screen to eye height while sitting at a desk though. I have one permanently on my desk, and take a second one with me when travelling to other offices.

      Also found it useful for setting up my laptop to watch Netflix in the bathroom at hotels when travelling for work.

      Plus, someone brushes past your table, bumps the laptop slightly with a bag, and it goes tumbling onto the ground.

      I’d want something more sturdy (like the top of a table) to rest my laptop on if in a public place.

    Received mine, nice stand (ordered the black) but unfortunately my laptops are too thick to use with it. I was under the impression that the rubber stopper was also adjustable in width but that's not the case. It doesn't mention any thickness limitations in the description either. I imagine most recent notebooks are fine, but my workstation replacements aren't.

    Looks like the white stand does expand, so it'd probably be a better choice for thicker laptops.
