Was searching for a deal on the S10e, found this one on eBay by Bing Lee which has price matched competitors.
$999 - 10% = $899.10 + Delivery. :)

Was just thinking the same thing re this being education store pricing essentially (except the free delivery part). Good price
try waiting till Easter. this will touch >$800.
To be fair it's already touching >$800
Price drop again!
OMG
site wide discount doesnt count as price drop imo
RRP $1,199 to $899 in less than a month! wow!
Damn I hope the value of the S10+ holds up in 2-3 years :(
If you want resale value get an iPhone
Amen, love them or hate them. At least they retain their value a lot stronger than any other phone on the market.
@clankfan: I mean it depends how much you pay, if you pay retain for an iPhone xs and then sell it 3 years later, you still are better off buying this S10e at this price and selling it.
@clankfan: Second hand they are about the same, iPhone 7 and s8 both go for around $450.
Resale value, yes definitely.
But the catch is you need to use an iPhone for 2-3 years..
@pennypincher98: 10000000% agreed
Look at the value of an S8 used right now. It will drop.
The same price as an iPhone 7 used. Understandable since they came out only 4 months apart
Yeah soon enough it be under $700 in 6 months time 😂
still better than LG
hahaha very true.
People are replacing phones less because there's been no reason to upgrade for the last 5 years.
They canned 2g.
Look at flagship sony phones their price drops by 60% in a month
got any links? would love to get my hands on a XZ3 for $300 to $400
that vertical fall !!
Will try to get one if the price drop to <$700 before Easter
Easter 2 weeks away wont drop that much. If its under 700 by eofy will you get one?

Not sure if s10e is more popular than regular s10 hence lots of deal on s10e, or s10e is so unpopular so it has lots of deal to boost the sale.
S10e has the same processor however;
less ram (8gb vs 6gb s10e)
2 cameras on the back vs s10 3 cameras
1 camera on front compared to s10+ 2 cameras
5.8 inch 1080p (amoled) vs bigger size on s10 and s10+ (1440p)
battery 3100 mah on s10e compared to s10 with 3400mah and s10+ with 4100mah
Many reviews put the S10e battery life better than S10 which is strange. Also I think the only comparison is S10E vs S10 not including S10+ as it's a huge size jump.
QHD vs FHD screens. If manually adjusting the s10 to FHD, battery should last a bit longer.
@Metre: It comes standard with FHD enabled. Already been proven it doesn't change battery at all, it's more to do with the physical size of the screen, and the power required to force the chemical changes.
@onlinepred: oooo we have an electrochemistry phd here
@TwentyTwoCarats: Nope just someone who has way too much time on their hands haha. It went through the same process when they compare the reduced resolution battery performance of S8/note 8.
@onlinepred: I guess the screen realestate does affect it a lot, a few inches might not seems much but it's like 25% larger or something like that.
Less ram - 6GB of ram is more than enough for 99.9% of people.
Less cameras - Pixel lineup has shown us quality over quantity.
5.8 inch screen - not sure how big S10 and S10+ is but that's good, not too big!
Battery - 300mAh difference is not a lot. Powering a smaller screen.
The only real difference is the screen quality (PPI) and the price.
Compared to the s8 and s9 it looks virtually the same, unless I'm missing something. There really doesn't seem to.much different between phones these days.
I agree, even the difference between flagship phone and midrange phones is not that much nowadays.
A HDR10+ display (1000+ nits), a massive step in in the chipset, 14nm to 8nm so significantly better battery life and performance, more ram for better and smoother multitasking, 128gb base storage as opposed to 64. Has an ultra wide-angle camera with a 123-degree field of view and if it mattered to you reverse wireless power share to charge other smart accessories like a smartwatch, wireless headphones or any phone that's wireless charge capable. the speakers are louder and have more bass so they sound amazing too
My logic is the s10e is a cheap man's phone. Samsung predicted more sales for the s10e, but the difference in original pricing was not too much difference between it and the s10. Majority of ppl bought s10/+ hence the out of stock issue they had. Since 5g is coming out later this year, they know they need to get rid of these s10e phones which aren't selling, hence the sudden drop in prices. S10/+ prices stay relatively stable.
I have the same opinion, $350 difference in price apparently doesn't make people want to go for the cheaper option.
personally I am looking into the S10e, even though I am a rusted on Sony Compact fanboi :)
the S10e is (relatively) small enough and has a headphone jack too!
I had a play with it the other day, and it is actually not that much bigger then my Z5 Compact
not sure if I want to drop $900 on a phone though
I'm still using my Z3 Compact which is the lightest ever flagship Android over these few years!
This or Huawei P30?
P30 = photography
Samsung = hardware and better software (oneui) imo
Looks like P30 it is, this is mainly for my wife who takes lots of photos..
the S10 camera is also stellar, and the phone overall is more reliable and friendly than the huawei
i'd say go for S10
like Snacky said, Photography go for p30…maybe consider mate 20 pro as well..
Mate series is the Huawei's flagship phone. I have mate20p is really good!
Thanks mate, mate20p is probably too big for my wife and I can't justify the $500 difference in price to get p30 pro
I would say galaxy s10e.
P30 got mediocre screen, software.
P30 pro has fantastic camera, however, it does not apply to p30. as p20's camera is not as good as p20 pro base on DXO mark.
Properly the camera is the same level or even slightly worse than galaxy s10e. (from DXO mark score perspective)
Real life the P30 pro is far better camera wise. I would get the S10e if you want a small phone, the p30 pro if you want the best of the best.
Where did you see the DXO mark for P30? I can only see P30 pro, but thought P30 should still be better than s10e in terms of camera.
My question for you would be how often/how serious do you take/treat your photos?
I would say if you are not too much into photos, then you shouldn't care too much about the camera.
TBH both cameras are decent imo. Huawei has better low lights photos. During the day Huawei over expose photos a bit but same as Galaxy.
@sauce2k: The only features that matter to my wife in a phone would be phone calls, web browsing and photo taking (of the little one).
I think she would be pleased with either phone to be honest.
@victorheaven: spot on mate ..both phones would be great for you!
As I mentioned I'm currently using mate 20 pro…awesome photos and I do take my photos seriously haha..
I don't really like EMUI, it's lightening fast but it's just the way Huawei manages battery annoy the crap out of me.
The battery last forever but the default settings prevent certain apps from refreshing in the background…for some you have to go into settings and set particular apps to manual setting…
Haven't used Samsung since s3, so can't comment
There is not P30 camera review yet.
My assumption base on the score different between P20 pro and P20
P20 Pro 109
P20 102
Different is 7
P30 Pro is 112, so I predict P30 will be around 105..
Of course I could be wrong..
Samsung better reliability cos not made in china
I have had to replace my Samsung Note 8 twice already due to battery issue and motherboard issue.
I just checked, the note 8 was made in Vietnam.
Never personally used Huawei, but the 4 Iphones I owned (guess where they were made) are perfectly reliable.
Yea because iphone has quality assurance checks by US company. Same with samsung there's Korean QA. Huawei chinese company.
Comparing S10+ to P30 Pro, the P30 Pro objectively has better camera to take still pictures, but video quality is worse off. If you're talking about the regular p30 i'm not sure. But even then, i believe the colour science on the s10 is better. The P30 Pro looks really unnatural in certain situations and seems more inconsistent overall. I believe the s10 is a better option, because overall, the experience is much better when using its software.
P30 Pro vs s10+ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fvD8Al5rN-g
I read it from somewhere that 10e has a better value than the 10+
The price sinks faster than the Titanic…
I had a play of the S10 and S10+ in store. The screen and camera is great. But I felt it already had the trademark Samsung lag that made me sell all my galaxy phones I've owned after 6 months.
I reckon the issue is that we get inferior Exynos chip in our market where as in US, China gets Snapdragon. If it had Snapdragon chip, might be different story.
when i eventually pull the trigger on an S10 I'll be getting the G9730 model, which is for mainland china but runs the snapdragon 855 and retains all global 4G bands.
I don't understand Iphone users saying they hold better resale but they are always more expensive than Samsung to buy with less features.
They only count the drop in percentage
Anyone else finding that their fingerprint scanner is quite terrible? Works about 30% of the time for me, 0 if I put my thumb sideways
You are scanning it wrong :p
Haha yeah when I have more time this weekend I'll do a few different angles.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
My s10e is probably the best samsung fingerprint scanner that I have used…make sure you scan your fingers from multiple angles for best results.
They are hiding the camera cut out really well with that wallpaper.
Iphone 7 to s10e or s10 + ? thoughts anyone
Lemme know your budget, you can't go wrong with both. Though i would recommend checking them out in store since they are completely different in terms of size. On the S10+ expect better battery life, better screen (screen size and quality), more ram, a telephoto lens (2x camera) compared to S10e. If going from S10 to S10+, besides the obvious screen size difference. On s10+ expect better battery life, more ram (won't make much difference), a dual selfie camera setup (either a pro or con depending on your preferences, otherwise everything else is the same across all s10 models.
I am a believer of flat earth theory that's why no curve display screens for me.
Just a reminder for those studying/teaching that this phone is currently listed at $899 (free delivery) from Samsung's website via Educating Pricing.
