I just downloaded from AU store.

        Says this.

Kindle titles are available for US customers on Amazon.com. Continue shopping on the Kindle Store at Amazon.com.

@The Gent: Yeah, that's the same link as the 'Go to Deal' button. Top right corner where the buy buttons normally are, shows that message I posted above.

              @CaffeinatedTech: So…use the US link?

I don't understand the problem - if you are using your US account, get it from the US store, if it's your Aussie account, good ole .com.au is your friend. I can't tell you which account you're using, I'm afraid :/

@The Gent: Yeah, I was pointing out that the AU link wasn't offering any purchase options for me. I guess my kindle device is registered on the .com site for some reason. The kindle was a gift for my mum and I doubt she wants to learn about Linux :)

      • Worked for me.

a few more free Linux titles available on AU store..

    • Only one of those is free, unless you have Kindle Unlimites :)

  • Sweet, downloaded from AU store

      That's better.

  • "Free" for KindleUnlimited users @ "$13.99 per month until you cancel" in Aus or $9.99 USD + taxes in US

    • +1

No, free-free. I don't have Kindle Unlimited (or a trial thereof) and I got it for free

It is also free for Kindle Unlimited customers if that's what you mean…

There's a "Kindle Price" at the top and undernesth it is the "Kindle Unlimited" price. both are 0.

      • +1

Yes, got it, thanks and apologies.

First Amazon "purchase". Only signed the account up back in November 2017 :)

It is the way they have the text and buttons laid out (at least when I look at it from FF) with Kindle price 0.00 then immediately under that is the kindleunlimited Read this title for $0.00 and immediately under that is the Read for $0.00 button…. which takes me to the KindleUnlimited signup page.

I had to go to the next button (Buy now with 1-click) that is separated by ——- OR ——- from the text above.

Not immediately discernible how to get the Kindle Price rather than kindleumlimited.

Anyway, have downloaded (via AU link) book and kindle app to pc and able to view the book.
        Thanks for posting.

        • Amazon's pretty good at making it look like everything's free, conning you into accidentally buying Prime or Unlimited.
