  • Is this and that equivalent?

Looks like different app to me

Looks like the same scales - just with a bigger logo - as @pavlos says, it needs to be bigger!

I got that Renpho deal and I am quite happy with the scales - they are consistent, which is the main thing. Even if they are not accurate, the consistency is important to show trends. My previous set of scales would give two or three different readings if you stepped off and then stepped back on.

The only issue with the app (Renpho) is that if more than one person is using the scales, you need to have the app open each time you weigh yourself, otherwise it stores the reading and whichever app connects next gets the data.

  • Couldn’t apply to purchase.
    Must be sold out?
    Dang!

    • All sorted. First search was the wrong one

  • You should put a bigger logo on it

  • I have a similar REPHNO one and, apart from weight, it gives me a plethora of additional "readings":
BMI, body fat, skeletal muscle, bone mass, protein and other derivatives from these.
How can a scale determine all these just from an electrical conductance/impedance or whatever measurement via the embedded electrodes?
I am tempted to call BS…

NB. The REPHNO one passes the weight to Google Fit but not to Samsung Health.

    • I believe that it just uses the "biased" bmi system for body fat percentage, just like any smart scale out there. My scales tell me I'm 22 percent body fat when in fact I have a higher muscle mass and around 15 percent. As for protein and other readings, I'm inclined to call bs.

    • I used to have a scale like this. I never trusted the actual number but in terms of a trend upwards or downwards it can be useful. I was trying to put on muscle without too much fat so a relatively flat body fat line while my weight went up was what I was looking for and it seemed useful in that regard.

Those other measures are completely pulled from body fat percent and aren't any more useful than the body fat reading. Just there to pretend there are more features.

    • It's not BS, this is really how the measurement is done.

However it says that I have 27% body fats, and my wife has 22%, which is quite a lot higher compared to the number I got using commercial scale.

The amount of time it takes to measure your fats % is also very short compared to other commercial units.

      So I wouldn't recommend.
