Sorry $45 (plus postage) for a plastic 45 degree angle is supposed to be a bargain?
    Glad it's not a 90 degree angle!

    Edit: https://www.amazon.com/McCauley-REVOLVER-Position-Extender-t…

    • That's your opinion and that's fine.
But this is a unique product and currently no other sellers in Australia. We think it's a fair price considering it's well over $30 wholesale.
But it does rotate a full 360 degrees.

      • Also, that Amazon listing is for the US and will not ship to Australia. I just tried it.

        • Fair enough, I'll remove my neg.
Though it did say that is shipped to Australia before I logged into Amazon.

          Edit: Sorry, seems I can't.

          • @RubenM: Well that's unfortunate…have you tried clicking plus to make it back to neutral?

          • +1

@RubenM: You can. Above the post click on Votes and you'll have a revoke option.

            • @Tacooo: Thank you.

edit: Just noticed I replied to potplanty and not the original commentor.

@RubenM: That pisses me off about Amazon.
So many items claim they are deliverable to and AU address, then when you attempt to make the purchase it's a no go.
Something to be careful of, its more miss than hit.

            • @virtual81:

That pisses me off about Amazon

Why are you blaming Amazon? Blame Gerry Harvey and the Federal Government for them not being able to ship. If Amazon sell and ship they can send to Australia but every single one of those other sellers would have to register with the Australian Government, be given an ABN. have to create a tax invoice for each sale and file out a BAS and remit payments to Australia (at great additional cost for the transfer).

So get pissed off at the right people, it's not Amazon.

While I probably won't find a use for this since I'm neither a pro or diy painter but just reading from reviews, it really does help with reaching hard places, even without ladders. I guess this is a niche product we don't usually see on Ozbargain so kudos to OP for offering it.

  • Broom stick + sticky tape. Problem solved

  • Title needs amending, the price needs to be in the title, not the discount.

      Done, thank you!

I hate bunnings but avoid the postage if you really need the reach on a brush by buying one of these. $6.45

    • Not quite the same thing, as the Revolver also does 100mm roller covers with more attachments to come in the future.
But we sell this Uni-Pro one too, and for cheaper:
      https://www.paintaccess.com.au/products/uni-pro-extension-po…

And remember, we're a local online company with a warehouse open to the public, not a major conglomerate mega-store like Bunnings.

      • +1

"major conglomerate mega-store like Bunnings" means easy returns. I love Bunnings. I could spend hours in there (and often do!).

This is a good idea, but speaking from experience, I always over brush and have to wipe up my mess with a damp cloth before it dries. I'm better off using a ladder.

I hate bunnings but avoid the postage if you really need the reach on a brush by buying one of these. $6.45

I have that and it's frustrating to use, slow to adjust, slow to remove the brush and it's fiddly etc. It does the job but not that well so I think this is a much better buy given you will get a better result. If you're not cutting in or anything the other one may be ok.

Buying better tools for painting generally works out to be a cost and time saver.

  • Should I add this to my dungeon?

  • Each to their own i think.
Sometimes people don't realise how expensive painting equipment is.

Good quality painting equipment have a price tag.
From memory a good paintbrush is $50

    • +1

$20 upwards for a good paintbrush but the result is so much better. I've never touched cheap paintbrushes again except for work where it doesn't matter or where you throw it away after applying whatever you're using.

Oh no, not again, someone from somewhere bought something recently and it doesn't even have anything to do with the product you are looking at. That is an instant AVOID. I don't need more distractions, there are plenty of ads already.

    • Thank you for your feedback.
To be honest, this is the first time anyone's ever mentioned that feature as negative.
It's just a marketing plug that's easy for a lot of websites to add. Those are real sales but obviously for legal reasons we are not allowed to say the persons name (we used to have something like John D. from Wagga Wagga etc).

However, we do not have any ads on our website whatsoever. We are completely self-sustained through our customers. As you might have noticed, we don't have any annoying pop-ups asking you to sign up for our newsletter, no up-sells in the cart, and in general no other types of pop-ups or prompts except for the little thing in the corner saying who's bought what recently.

      Sorry for the long explanation.

      • +4

I agree, I hate that "feature". It's pointless, most of them are fake and what does it matter at the end of the day?

      • +2

Awful feature. There is literally nothing that annoys me more on a website. Autoplay videos and scrolling banner adds aren't even as bad.

      • Seems you got a few more :)
Maybe people don't mention it, as it requires them to spend even more time complaining about it, so they just grudgingly put up with it.
The fact is, if you want to make a sale, you don't want distracted customers. That is why we have adblock, otherwise with all the ads, I'd just close it.

As a marketing plug, you need to check it's efficiency. Not everything is good just because it is out there and easy to add.
