  • I thought it has been discontinued for a while. So the only difference is the rom, we don't have to do the installation manually like before?

    • Display looks rounded too.

        Smaller battery size too

Previous version is my favourite or second favourite device ever behind the Galaxy Note.

    So cheap!

    • agree, it's still the best phone I have used in sub $200 category. Install Treble 3.3 or AEX 6.1 and the phone works beatifully.

      • how to install treble?

        • check the xda thread. I use AEX 6.1 now and loved it.
          https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/sharp-aquos…

          • @xmchen: Mine is buggered - I get no sound on calls, or anything like that, and can't find a way to either flash root, or unencrypt it to make any changes to fix it.

            • @linnaen: did not had any issue with AEX 6.1. You need flash treble 3.1 or 3.3 before flash AEX.
Try flash stock firmware then restart again…the xda thread has instructions.

what are the upgrades from the previous F8010? if it's the C10, it's more of the downgrade from FS8010( smaller battery and less bands support).

Oh good, I was getting buyer's remorse for ordering a different phone yesterday until I read this.

      • what phone did you order?

        • +1

Umidigi F1. Umidigi phones have lots/most bands and use an almost completely stock android install (apparently).

          • @macrocephalic: oh nice! i was looking at that since i smashed my s7 recently and wanted something to get me by for the next year or so. is the selfie camera any good?

            • @jonogwil: I only ordered it yesterday, so I probably won't get it for another week or to.

            • @jonogwil: theres no image stablisation for the front camera so selfie camera is not great especially in light low and often are blurry. Never the less, overall its a great phone and well worth the price

              • @iamjase: awesome! where did you get yours from? im tempted!! least till next year when i can afford something a bit better

    • Not much except the installed Global rom and Android Oreo

if it's C10 then here's the comparison. Band 28 removed.

Click on differences on lift side, to see the changes.

      • It states that C10 has 3.5mm audio jack, this cannot be true from the Banggood pictures.
THe comparison really indicates C10 is not as good as FS8010.

And what people normally say? No B28, no deal..

  • installed with google play ?

  • Is this phone better than the UMIDIGI F1 128GB/4GB which you can get for a similar price tonight (with the aliexpress 20% off cashback)? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/447060

Hey OP, the C10 is a downgraded version of the S2 targetting the EU market. It differs to the S2 by offering:

    • no B28
    • 2700mAH instead of 3020maH battery

S2 is a better phone for the AU market. It's AU$229 + GST from AE in white. +$30 for blue.

    • They use B20 in Europe and not B28, that is why B28 is removed.
So it's better to stick with S2 version + bigger battery.

Blue one for the same price 229 + GST from AE

Based off the AE page the C10 has two other differences to the S2:
        - use a Sony rather than Samsung rear camera. Supposedly better low light response
        - has Bluetooth 5.0 rather than 4.2

Still, the S2's B28 + bigger battery + XDA alternate ROMs make it a better buy imho for OZ use.

        • Change to European version ;)

  • Has the C10 (Global Version) a Notification-LED Light? (for sms, whatsapp, etc.)
